    You should test it against the kymron xh42. It’s a same class same price point. Very curious because there randomly found both and am interested for price point.

    The Bobcat is an Extendahoe configuration, which is heavier. The Bobcat Extendahoe does not appear to be scoped in all the way either, which negatively impacts lift capability.

    Thats a great unit. Thanks for the info. I have all kinds of use for a machine like that.

    Looks to me like you have the chain hooked up at a lower point when doing the test with the groundhog, therefore giving the groundhog more leverage than you did with the bobcat

      Hello, thanks for your comment. I've analyzed this video numerous times and I'm really not sure what you're referencing. The chains are connected to both buckets the same way and hooked up to the machines exactly the same. We're certainly not trying to cheat anything here and even Nick was surprised that the GroundHog did better than the Bobcat.

    • @cdmajesty4803
      @cdmajesty4803 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's no big deal. In the end I expected the groundhog to lift more anyway.
      Clearly in the video it does show that where the geometry of the arm and the bucket was placed between the two machines was not the same. And also the mechanism by which the groundhog lifted the mini skid steer was different than what was attempted on the bobcat. But clearly I would agree that the groundhog was the stronger machine.

      I see what you mean about the arm extension, so I'll agree with you on that one. Thanks for pointing it out! Nick has been trying to do the comparison videos in the most accurate way possible, so I'll pass this feedback to him. We appreciate you watching!

    I'm all for comparisons; in fact everyone is, but you gotta take care of the details to make it even.
    Even that throttle not being at 100%. Why? Put them both at 100. Use the same weights.
    If it beats the bobby, even by a smidge, then awesome.

    • @hackish1
      @hackish1 ปีที่แล้ว

      It probably does beat the bobcat, but it is always hard to come up with a specific fair comparison. 2 brand new machines setup exactly the same, fine. The bobcat has the extension boom which is going to be a few hundred pounds heavier, so who knows. Put a few hundred hours on each, is the pressure exactly adjusted to spec since the pump has worn in a bit? A good approach would be using a load cell to measure the force in each orientation.

    Hello Nick, i have recently started shopping for an excavator and have realized that im in california where the machines sold are prodominately large name brands. Im very interested in speaking with you and will be calling soon in hopes I xan make the right purchase. I do appreciate the fact that youre very transparent and have said that your machines may not be the best option for everyone.
    I really want an honest opinion and hopefully contacting you guys will help me with my purchase direction.

    @wcooman1694 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nick, I appreciate that you're continuing to expand the dealer network. However, I don't have a lot of confidence in my local dealer. Oh, I'm sure they're very capable of servicing Groundhog machines as they are an auto repair shop (although diesel experience might be questionable), they have no units in stock. Being able to actually see, touch, & demo is huge. Additionally, their web site doesn't acknowledge being a Groundhog dealer until you visit their inventory page. There, at the very bottom of that page, you will find specs on what must be a xx14G (the actual model(s) is not mentioned) and only the 14G. No other Groundhogs are mentioned to include other excavators, loaders, rollers, or mini dumpers.
