This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I have several 'friends' who I'm 90% sure have some kind of internalized homophobia. They flirt with each other, me, and plenty of other people and then say it was all just a joke, and then sprout some insane homophobic nonsense. I’m omnisexual, and although I’m open to the fact I like not just boys and girls, but all genders, I’m scared that I would be ostracized. The ability to regulate how much you give in to short-term pleasure also gives you more self-control thus more freedom from addiction & temptation, which leads us to make more rational decisions. If you want the most accurate Bible translation, read the Douay-Rheims. It's based off of the Latin Vulgate which in turn is based directly off of the Septuagint

I’m omnisexual, and although I’m open to the fact I like not just boys and girls, but all genders, I’m scared that I would be ostracized. Seriousness aside, this video is actually very entertaining and helped me learn more about homophobia!
what should be done about social conservatives. Note: social conservatism is mostly stemmed from a mindset so critical thinking is generally ineffective and education is generally merely dragging them along. I want to actually solve this problem. I don’t care what methods have to be used; fairness requires unfair measures; this is an extension of the paradox of tolerance.
We cannot rely on the mercy of the majority to solve institutionalized homophobia; we have to use an unfair system to achieve equity.
What in the world does it mean to be omnisexual. It's legit just bi, it just means you like males and females regardless of whatever they want to call themselves.

I remember a story that was published where it’s level 4 homophobia but the opposite (homosexuality is normal and heterosexual is not) and it got a lot of backlash but the writers stood their ground saying “If homosexual people can’t do it then so can’t heterosexual people

I am a middle eastern Christian and even tho both the area I live in and the religion I practice are against this,I don’t mind the Igbt,they are also human beings at the end of the day with feelings and emotion,the only people from the lgbt I don’t like are the ones who actively hate on my religion or hate on people for being straight,even then those type of people are such a small majority that it’s not even noticeable

Anyways, the Mosaic law isn't something that we totally abandon in the new covenant. We abandon the old rituals (burnt offerings) & judicial laws (not wearing mixed fabrics) but the moral laws (man shall not lie with another man) of the new covenant we ought to keep.
The reason why sodomy is a sin is because we are called to chastity; which is regulation of our desires. Sleeping with someone for the sole purpose of the pleasure (opposed to procreation which is only possible between man & woman) is a sin because it goes against our call to chastity. This doesn't just apply to homosexuality, it applies to straight people, too
Chastity isn't just some arbitrary command that God gives us, it is also genuinely good for you regardless of faith. The ability to regulate how much you give in to short-term pleasure also gives you more self-control thus more freedom from addiction & temptation, which leads us to make more rational decisions.

@@Idk_Shinobu In 19th century German translations, they say “man shall not lie with boy” but in the Septuagint (which is the translation quoted all the time in the New Testament) it says “man shall not lie with man.” Even with that aside, if you take 1st Cor. 6:9 & what the church has taught throughout history you'll get a very different perspective.
If you want the most accurate Bible translation, read the Douay-Rheims. It's based off of the Latin Vulgate which in turn is based directly off of the Septuagint

Homophobia is negative discrimination based on an individual or group being homosexual, not disliking or hating a homosexual individual or group as people are not defined purely by their sexuality, race or gender.

Exhibit B:
Mafumom discovers that Mafuyu and Kanade are dating. She yells at Mafuyu for not being straight, and she yells at her until she runs away (again). This is homophobia since instead of yelling at Mafuyu for another reason, she’s yelled at Mafuyu for being lesbian
