Rotting Pinata was one of my favorite CDs! i listened to that over and over in the 90s! I couldn't understand why Sponge was not as big as i thought they should have been 🌻🌻🌻🌻
This was at the Riv in chicago,. I had tickets for me and my girl but broke up a week before so I forced one my buds to go instead. He wasnt into this kind of music and didn't like it, but he met a girl at the concert that night. They got married in 98, have 2 daughters (17&14) and live in a beautiful home in the suburbs. And they listen to Sponge to this day.
Love this one. Rotting pinata was one of few bright spots growing up a lonely and abused child. Makes me feel at ease and a little happier listening even 20+ years after.

Matthew Maker I have had Rotten Piñata for 20+ years, and just now have been listening to it on from start to end for weeks now. It’s amazing! I will definitely buy the other two you mentioned. Thanks for the tip! 👍
There's also Cowboy Eyes, I Hate Myself, and Seventeen as b-sides.....AND there is a special edition of Rotting Pinata with a 30 minute live album which is pretty great. :) Oh and they released a live album called Rotting Alive with all the tracks performed in order about 3 years ago. Vinnie's voice is as strong as ever!
I made a remastered edition of Rotting Piñata which includes the original album carefully remastered plus a bonus disc with sixteen tracks including all those b-sides and live performances..if anyone is interested in my sending it please let me know!
ME TOO... this Friday!!!! 25 years later I still love this album to death. Funny how hard it was to get tickets to see Sponge, Stabbing Westward, Failure, even Korn... so thankful that all these bands are still rocking and you can finally get concert tickets.

Nice band, Plowed is brilliant, but they sure wear their influences on their sleeve. You can hear STP and Pearl Jam right there.
