New Iron Man Experience Full Ride POV Hong Kong Disneyland

The new Iron Man Experience has soft opened at Hong Kong Disneyland and TPR was invited to come be the very first public riders on the attraction! The ride is like Star Tours on steroids! Yet another evolution of the already great motion based simulator system!
This is the first ever "Marvel" ride to be in a Disney theme park!
(note that the ride is actually in 3D but we put the 3D glasses over our Pivothead glasses to film so you can get a better idea of what the ride media looks like!)
I love how Jarvis and Tony convey the same information in different languages so neither tourist is lost.

I like how they show you leaving from the actual park to make it more 'real' - nice touch!

The design challenge is that Disneyland is supposed to be a magical kingdom far removed from contemporary reality, so Marvel really does not fit.
Imagineering solved the problem relatively well by transporting the audience from Tomorrowland to contemporary Hong Kong in order to help make Iron Man fit better within the timelessness of Disneyland.
One of my favorite bits from this ride is definitely the fact that it starts in the park.

It's overrated in my eyes, and the fact that it's been shoved down everyone's throats, especially since Disney acquired it, has spoiled it even more for me. Sorry, but no. I don't care if my opinion is "wrong" in your eyes, it's my opinion and I'll stick by it whether you agree with it or not.

Three things that really stood out to me.
1. The Iron Man actors voice sounded similar to RDJ yet uniquely also nailed the Stark persona as well.
2. The ride starts in the park; very believable to the adventure starting where you arrived.
3. A very cool Marvel rendition of a Star Tours type ride with all the same fun and special effects makes this ride work most definitely.
Hopefully something similar comes to California Adventure when they start making Marvel progress in the park.

They even added Arendelle: World of Frozen even tho that’s like coming in 3-4 years
For those who haven't been to this yet, it is quite fun... It may seem that it's just a video. But they added real movement on the ride.

I'm actually glad they made another Atlas Simulator. I love these things. Very Nostalgic to me and actually really fun. I wish Body Wars was still around

I love how they fly out of/into Disneyland at the beginning and end. I hope they replace Star Tours (not necessarily with this) once Star Wars Land opens.
Star Tours isn't going anywhere. In fact, they just announced that they are added a new location from The Last Jedi.
It's most likely they'll replace the Star Tours in Disneyland when Star Wars Land opens to this.
i dont think anything other than space mountain is safe in Disneylands Tomorrowland, everything is starwars themed which will eventually be taken out of that area of the park.
dont even think Astro Blaster is safe. HK replaced it with Ant Man
Disney can't place Marvel in Florida, only California due to rights made in the 90s. Disney can only use Marvel not represented at Universal IOA, hence why Guardians of the Galaxy will be there, but no real mention of "Marvel" though.
My last ride at disneyland HK. What an awesome ride! I hope disneyland HK would make another 4d ride like this someday ☺️

I love this, in fact, I just have a ride yesterday. It was amazing as it's featuring some views of HK. The effect was quite real and there were some scenes that actually are quite funny. I love this rideeee

This brings back so much memories. It’s been 4 years since I’ve been to Disneyland. I used to go a lot when I was younger. It was such a fun time. This was my favourite ride along with the bear ride
I wouldn't mind this attraction to be made in the rumored Marvel Land at DCA. Or at least brought to Disneyland in someway.

Alphard Jack Yana it’s a theatre like experience, but it has a lot of shaking and “drops”
it feels so real cause I live in Hong Kong XD and english is my first language

It uses glasses and u can feel every turn and drop of it its cool
Love that during certain points, you can hear Iron Man from Black Sabbath in a badass orchestral form
IMG in Dubai is awesome too, the Avengers vs Ultron ride was epic
I've ridden this 4 times!!! It is nothing different than star tours in Anaheim Disney... literally, the exact same but with minimised effects. The official open day was supposed to be Jan 11 but I guess they got a bit too exited about it😂😂😂😂
Nah, right now the ride is open for the test-runs, which have received positive public feedback. The official opening date is still January 11 o3o

I rode this in Hong Kong Disneyland and it was fun and I got the toy drones from the ride
The ride was great fun :p it was short tho, I would have preferred a 360 view of the park as a whole before taking off :p

XD As a guy who's previously been to Disneyland here and anticipated the opening of this ride back when it was still under construction, I AM FUCKING HYPED!! I never expected this ride to actually go into Hong Kong, let alone areas I have been through thousands of times!

I have tried the 3D ride , it's amazing and so realistic
The experience in person is way better than it looks on video. I went on the ride several times, usually there are long lines though. One time, I had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes to get in. It’s worth it though

This is basically Star Tours meets Marvel. And I mean LITERALLY, because this whole sequence looks like something that I've experienced on Star Tours.

I feel like when Star Wars land opens at Disneyland in the US they might close Star Tours and relocate it or replace it and add something similar to this attraction in the Marvel expansion at Disney California Adventure. Great footage!

last time at disneyland i went on this ride for the first time and waited for a long time, it was a bit scary for me but overall it didnt disappoint me and was very interesting

Looks pretty cool, I wouldn't mind them bringing it to the US, it seems like they'd have to move Star Tours to Star Wars land when it's done. They'll have some extra space in tomorrow land, but if they want California Adventure to have all their Marvel stuff I could see them replacing some of their Pixar stuff with Marvel stuff.

In real life situation, the effects inside are like true your are wearing 3d glasses then some effects are example when the robot hits the ship you will be pushed a little bit.

Star Tours - Iron Man style. Surprised that most of the ride is in English language. This attraction is not found in the USA. Thanks for showing it to us. I don’t think I will ever be in Hong Kong China to ride it live.

i think the pandora rides can be pretty decent, but i am worried about the banshee ride. it just seems like your typical motion simulator but with the tron ride vehicles. I just think they need to stop with the motion simulators/projections for a while and go back to making rides with impressive set pieces.
Random Travel Videos The Pandora Land will look amazing yes, but the rides will be meh. It's essentially Soarn 2.0 and a boat ride. The boat ride will be detailed but will be filled with plants and screenz. The FoP ride...well ya know a big screen with seats that mimics a Banshee...for 1 Billion dollars. And also no big time theme park isn't gonna make a practical set ride anymore/anytime soon because screens allow them to show what they want you to experience in a possible way (Falling down a cliff isn't possible to do without screens eh?)

Jenna Poole Sometimes its hard to get actors to do that kind of stuff. On Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, Hermione doesn't sound like Emma Watson at all, but does on the Forbidden Journey ride.
