The Raptors got the pounce ability to help give new players a chance. People hated how that all the could tame was a raptor and it did nothing to protect them against people with better tames so they can now pounce to balance things. Which in my opinion didnt work
Syntac, you'll need a lightpet for the Hidden Grotto cave. Nameless don't spawn on the way down, but once you grab the artifact it triggers Nameless to spawn on the way back up.
For how old this game is, it should be impossible for the game developers to not fix all the mob spawn points placement issue, not for Wildcard apparently.
You can counter raptors, there's 2 ways 1: use a good lvl shotgun 2: delete ark and throw your PC into a wall Edit 1: Wow, more likes then syntac's own comment talk about helping the population of ark deal with a more annoying the the damn troodon, at least they don't knock you off your mount
Kudos to Syntac for doing this with server settings and in a permanent server environment, but this feels like an extreme challenge run. I realize "balanced" and "optimized" are very strong words for Ark, but original server settings were viewed as those things in regards to having a tribe. I wouldn't be surprised if the limit for boss arenas was chosen with every dino having a rider even. To try doing this without any boosts to health and damage would be miserable. It's nice to see it's doable (define doable though, flashbacks to the Overseer) but it's also eye-opening as to how much Ark relies on multiplayer for fun in its default state.
Btw. Raptors can knock you off everything, depending on the angle. When you are traveling with a Giga next to a wall, a Raptor could pounce you, if he jumped from above.
Blue zone for supply drops. Depending on how confident you are with your ravager rn. I looked for ages where you are, supply drops were insanely rare. One minute in the blue zone and I found three. Good luck! Love your stuff

Around the 10 minute mark. So funny! You don’t drop the F bomb often and the fact that you did made it even more hilarious! I swear Ark conspires to do things like that. Of course a raptor would also attack you, then some random unknown, previously non existent thing appears just to push you into the carnage. Sooo funny. Had to watch it again.
At 1:35 you can see a red drop that he not only never noticed but didn't grab or use poor syntac it's at the bottom left of the screen right near his pickaxe
4:45 when you bola dudes like this why don't you just walk behind them and use your pike or a sword? would save ammo and is prob as fast if not faster if you include reload times. the pike/a sword can hit 3~ times in the time it takes to reload once.
The lake thats right outside that cave is full of otters even more so if you clean the fish out. I think when we did we had like 6 ish spawn in every time. Also you can find them in that cave aswell ^^
Raptor ruins everyone day, they need to make it like Rex roar where only higher level than you can pounce or at least cool down because in packs it's devastating. Bug I've found on mod servers, owl with high Stam if they get pounced mid freeze drop you'll fly off and be frozen next to them forever/til someone kills it.

Don't wait for gun to reload when it bugz out, just go emity handed then pull out the gun & it will reload, it's faster than waiting for it to reload by itself.
So the Extra Rare Items that CAN drop from earthquakes are a 1%chance, and they have greatly increased quality (240%-320%). The green zone is things like a metal pick, blue zone you could get an assault rifle, and red zone you could potentially get a fabricated sniper rifle
When I did this cave I tamed up a Megalosaurus, did a few surface runs with it, until a I found an ascendant sniper rifle, then used that to snipe all the threats from afar.

I agree on the raptors, you used to be able to counter it by running in a circle motion and they couldn't dismount you and you can bite them while they try, or if you're on a jumper you can jump up and down while they try to pounce, but the new programming for them makes that impossible. Even when you circle spin on a ptera they pull you off it's stupid.
back in the day I raised a baby ravager inside the cave, just made it follow me after being born. The problem is that they fall through the mesh if you get killed, or simply if you leave the cave
Even if you've got decent gear and dinos, you still need to check the area twice for Raptors because even if a rex and a bronto and everything else is 10 miles away, once the raptor pins you down, all of them come straight toward you and everything dies and you get depressed lol... it's worse when there are multiple.
i remember a youtuber named bam was on a wyvern and a raptor pounced him off of it and since his wyvern was pinned by the raptor it got killed mind you it was a high lvl wyvern
Only tamed raptors should actually have the ability. That's my opinion because there's nothing more annoying than being ripped off your mount and killed without any way to fight back.

You counter that shit by not leaving your dino on passive man. Any where I'm around raptors I keep my Dino's on follow and aggressive so when I get pulled they instantly start fighting lol.

It is my opinion there are too many things that can dismount you, also the micro raptor stun timer is insane.
Joshua LeGrand exactly! The micro-raptor is the most op creature in the game without a doubt. The timer needs to be more like 5 seconds.
They nerf every other dino but not the microraptor
Same for the purlovia. If you get stunned in the snow cave then all you can do is sit there and watch yourself slowly die.

When I’m doing that cave I target raptors first with my rifle, they are a pain if you get over run by them but headshots do a lot of damage to them
syn take off the glider coz your cheast will take 6x damage when your hit if its on
I know but the glider saves my life a bunch of times so its best to keep it on :P

The dodge is in the game already you have to push jump I believe when it switches to 3rd person camera and you'll do a roll.

Raptors are the reason I don’t go on small to medium size mounts. They ruin the experience and have to be on every map.
Not just them, but purlovia, thylacoleo, and kapros. They're the reason I fly.
