I once went on a weeks vacation with 2 sets of clothing: the one I was wearing and one in a small backpack. I also had a book, color book, gel pens, toiletries, and my phone. That was it. It was the best vacation I ever had!! It was soo nice not to be “cluttered” and I didn’t miss a thing. It was wonderful to enjoy my time with my daughter. Every time I declutter and get to that backpack I’m like “No, that stays, cuz I’m gonna do it that way again!”
Yes we basically did that. Two weeks abroad with one set of sandals each and we wore them on the plane. I just washed a few clothes through. We had one swimwear each. One suitcase for three of us. There wasn’t one thing we didn’t use. We just bought shower gel and shampoo when we arrived. We didn’t even use one of our luggage allowance off 22kg each. Our case was 15kg. I was travelling with my disabled daughter and young son so couldn’t manage more than one case. Worked out great. I can now travel for weeks on end with just hand luggage. My friend on the other hand…got a £105 bill at the airport because her luggage was too heavy. She took 12 pairs of shoes and 14 bikinis for a one week holiday!!!!😮
Packing cubes…. I need these lol going to see what I can use around the house for some. Leaving tomorrow. Thank you for this!! About to repack with much less!! I knew as soon as I saw our luggage, ‘that is ENTIRELY too much’. Glad I found this video ❤
I am waiting every week for your video. I love your approach to life, thank you for sharing. You are so gentle and genuine…….sending you loads of hugs. Enjoy your holiday xx Aleks from London
Hello from France. This vidéo was really inspiring and pleasant to watch ! I like these highly practical series. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your holidays ♥️
Love these tips and so happy your family is in beautiful Hawaii. We’re heading out to Alaska next week and I’m struggling with figuring out what to pack with the weather there. I’m used to traveling to warmer climates haha
Recently found you and LOVING all of your content and your perception on life. You have such a beautiful soul. I wanted to ask - what items are in your first aid/toiletry bag? The turquoise colored bag. I find myself stuck on what to pack and would a good go to list to use for future trips. Thanks girl!
Where do you get the sandals for you and your kiddos? Been looking for ones like those for months! Every Wednesday I wake up excited to watch your new video. I rewatch them often!
I just bought some of those bags, I was going to use them for winter items when its summer etc.. Admittedly I do take to much stuff, but I take books, my own towels and dressing gown. I dont travel with children so I do have more down time to play with.. but I do adventure for photos, drone shots..
Amazing tips! I will definitely be using packing cubes on our upcoming camping trip. Your hair looks amazing and so voluminous 😍 Have fun in hawaii in that gorgeous home!
@@MadisunGray which size bag is that, 70L or 100L? My hubby thinks the 100L would be pretty heavy to carry as a backpack with everyone's stuff. Do you find that?
@@valerydocampo9850 it's the 70L. We checked it so we didn't have to carry it much but it really wasn't too heavy... we've also carried it on when it wasn't packed all the way. :)
Love that you pair down the kids' clothes - are you washing clothing every day if your kids have only 1 pair of pants? What do you do if they get messy/dirty that day?
Hey Kristin- in the video I show what I bring for the kids. This trip happened to be Hawaii, so much more swimsuits and shorts. But I would say we brought enough for a week before needing to wash. Thanks for watching ❤️
I'm so late to this video, but I noticed, what about underpants? xD also, since your kids are so small, did you need to bring a car seats, or strollers, or diaper bags and such?
I would love to know what was in your toiletries especially what medicine and oils you brought. I always an curious what others use in their medicine cabinet
So so inspiring. 👏🏼 Awesome job mama. Also V jealous that you’re in Hawaii! Dreamy ✨ Would love to know where your white shirt and blue tank underneath are from - as well as the black swing dress! 😊❤️
Hi Madi! I really enjoy watching your videos, I see myself saying the same things about my “boring and minimalist life” with my 1yo and 3yo children. I was just wondering, which size are the packing cubes for the kids and for the adults?
Thank you so much! ❤️ We bought the Eagle Creek ones, but looks like they don’t sell them anymore on Amazon. Check these ones out, they look the same size. amzn.to/3PqM8ve
Looks like a beautiful vacation. The beach! Did you find vegan doughnuts? 😋 No judging if they're not, just curious bc I have yet to find a donut shop that offers vegan options. Well, I did find one coffee shop that had one vegan donut but it was gross LOL. No matter, they looked delicious. 🍩🏝🌞

Love this video. Traveling with less is 100% one of the minimalist things i struggle with. I pack a giant suitcase of everything 😬

❤️❤️❤️ Thank you! I appreciate the love for the extra editing😂 I spent WAY too much time on this video. lol
What do you do about a water filter when you get there?
Usually buy filtered water at the store, or depending on the length of the trip we use this travel berkey water filter. amzn.to/3VAbsD2

70L. They have a 100L as well. 👍🏻
@@MadisunGray thank you so much!
