      Yes, in today's unreliable US manufactured market for new vehicles. I would have gone with the Ford if I had to choose between the big 3. Fortunately I purchased a reliable Toyota Tundra.

    You’re never going back now, all the space and the V8 you are going to love it. I sure miss my 2 door Tahoe, loved the power. It was something about your channel the small trucks pulling the small trailer made the channel special. But you are going to love it with the new. congrats.

    Hi Robert congrats on your new Trail Boss. You definitely have earned it and hats off to you. I also have a 2022 refreshed Trail boss and I must tell you Chevy really knocked the exterior and interior designs out of the park. This is my first pickup truck and really overjoyed with it. I started Watching your channel a few years ago and you inspired me to join the RV adventure life. I ordered an Airstream 2021 August and had planned on towing it with an Audi until my wife convinced me otherwise. After much research I settled on the Chevy Trail boss with the 5.3L V8. I ordered my trail boss Last December and took delivery mid June and 3 months later got the Airstream. The interior with the digital gauge cluster as well as the infotainment systems are phenomenal. The center console's electronic shifter is also nice for me. GM has done a really nice job with the interior. I have driven my truck 5900 miles since taking delivery and have nothing but praise for GM. I get around 21 MPG on the highway and 13 when towing the 23 foot 6000 pound Airstream. The 10 speed automatic produces better milage when you drive between 60 and 70 mph. In my 40 years of purchasing American, Japanese and European vehicles this is my first GM and couldn't be happier. Your observations are spot on although I have not experienced any hiccups with either of the dashboard screens. I use Apple CarPlay and pandora and both are also great and have met my expectations. I really look forward to seeing your RV adventure videos with your new truck.

    Why not a Ford Lightning EV to tow camper across this Beautiful Country? You would only have to pull over and unhook camper every 77 miles to recharge for an hour, who wouldn't want to deal with that? lol....We love your channel Robert, thank you for showing those unable to travel how Beautiful the USA really is.

    Your gonna love the amount of room you have in this truck compared to your Colorado. I used to have a Toyota Tacoma and upgraded to my current Tundra crewmax cab and the difference is night and day. Goid luck with your new chevy. I never owned a chevy truck but i have been a passenger in them and i think they have the nicest interiors and the most comfortable seats of all the full sized pickups. One thing I would suggest is to get rid of those stock mirrors and get a good set of aftermarket tow mirrors. Thanks for showing us your new ride and good luck with it.

    @LowsJuan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for sharing. I am glad to hear that it is a step up from your Colorado and I am sure that your butt thanks you. I was a big fan of the digital dashes at first but they have become so common it has made interiors kind of generic. The reason they are common nowis because they are cheap. I agree with the shifter comment and also I include push button start with that. Change for change sake is not a step forward.
    If I could afford it I would have gone with the diesel option on the chev it is just such a nice engine for towing and hwy driving. The equal on the ford side would be the 7.2kw pro power onboard/hybrid. For RVer there is no quieter or more powerful generator. You will never have to worry about disturbing the neighbours or sweating/freezing in your trailer again. Just fill up your truck before you park and enjoy.

    We went shopping a few weeks ago for a car a couple years old. We have until December to get one for some young people's wedding. I hate car shopping I'd rather have a root canal. But the high-pressure sales techniques are rare now. The sales lady apologized for the low inventory/high miles and told us she could order us a new one for less than getting a used one! Heck yeah! @paleolithictech Yep, the LFX-V-6 tuned to 323HP was a 4 year run in the Camaro. 2012/13/14/15. 2016 brought in the 6th Gen. Camaro with the LGX-V-6 tuned to 335HP but more emissions also added.

    Congratulations on your new truck! We used to tow our trailer with the 5.3L and the mileage ran between 8 and 10 mpg at 63 mph. If you slow down to 65 mph your mileage towing should be a little bit better. Everything has to do with HOW you drive it while towing.
    P.S.: You can disable/turn off the things that you don't want to have running. The owner's manual will tell you how.

    I was amazed that you would tow your 2108 with the Colorado that seems so underpowered. We liked the Winnebago 2108, but the interior height was a bit short (I am 6' 3"), so we went with the Rockwood Minilite 2104s, which has the 6'8" headroom and murphy bed and similar length to your 2108. My F-150 with the 5.0L V-8, although a good truck, just was not up to the task for towing it, so I got the F-250 powerstroke, and wow, talk about go anywhere (although hate diesel fuel prices)! I also got rid of the all terrain tires and went with the Continental Terrain Contact HT all season highway tires and so much better for towing on the road and not too bad off road unless you get into some real sketchy terrain. Love your videos and perhaps catch up to you at the Tampa RV show in January. We have a site at Hillsboro River State Park. JT from Orange City, FL.

    Very nice truck, I have it’s cousin the GMC Sierra also a 5.3l. Check out the Pulsar LT. You can completely bypass auto start stop and cylinder deactivation amongst other things which will extend the engine’s life. Also you can add a open air filter intake and that will give you better MPG’s. Lastly I would invest in an oil catch can to help reduce carbon buildup. Non of these will void your warranty. Check it out.

    Let’s face it, I’m a cheap bugger! My desire is to by a winter camping setup that can also be used the rest of the year and the Mini-Tiny with the heated tank set-up looked good to tow with my Canyon. As I got into the details more I found myself limited at the ski resorts to “self contained “vehicles”” (Vans and Slip-in Campers [pickup bed] that the Canyon can’t do). It is really coming down to where do I want to shower, in the camper or at the rear door and/or truck stops, I want a composted toilet either way since tanks are problematic and need care for winter use and I never liked the Idea of dragging around a cassette. However, along my decision journey, I considered the Sierra (GMC Version of your truck which I think is the AT4 for off road). The price tag on the 2022s was outrageous and the Chevys are comparable, I may keep my Canyon All Terrain for 10 years, or more, due to that, and find a good used cargo van and insulate, wire, panel and heat it with a gasoline or diesel heater. Also in order to get the leather seats and all terrain package I still had to forego the heated seats (I love my heated seats on cold winter days) due to the chip shortage, here in Tennessee, for the 2022 models. I hope the 2023s have them at those prices. Then those sub 20mpg’s for the V8 make using it for anything other than a tow vehicle iffy. I cringe at $40 gas fill ups from a half tank on my Canyon and I only see the price of fuel getting worse next summer and diesel is close to $5 a gallon now so all those mpg’s saved there are eaten by it’s cost. I no this because a woman I work with’s Dodge dually diesel is eating her alive but she needs it to tow her hood cleaning equipment, her other job.
