- A group of volunteers from Buxton Water, Fulham FC, and Thames 21 hit the shores of the River Thames armed with wellies, gloves and litter picking sticks. The Poly-Mer boat we helped create from Buxton bottles even turned up to lend a hand.
The day was organised in partnership with Fulham Football Club and focused on clearing rubbish from the foreshore in front of Craven Cottage, the home ground of Fulham F.C.
Over 4 hours the volunteers collected bag after bag of rubbish from the river banks, most of which were wet wipes.
Tommy Martinelli, HORECA Territory Manager was one of our volunteers there on the day, who said "it was nice to take a day out to take care for the river I love. The River Thames is such an iconic part of London and it was upsetting to see the sheer number of items that have been littered and washed up on the banks".
