9:56 actually it is not the same shot, jk just makes his choreography 3 time perfectly same haha. You can see that backup dancers are going, so background is not same for each 3 shots. But if you mean like with same angle or something... its editor perspective, i dont know how many times did i watch this mv, but never notice it lol

Yes THIS! The background dancers were moving out in first shot, second shot they stayed and did a different dance move( looked like twerking lol) and third shot they aren't there
I don't know how he didn't catch that I mean it's understandable to get confused coz jk's dance and expression didn't change AT ALL so XD
I think he meant the kind of shot ( like zoom in a little, then immediately zoom out ) and not that the particular video clip was repeated thrice. Because, if you see 13:33, he says that he liked the way they had edited that part, with a variation of close shots, medium shots and wide shots, instead of just close shots as in 9:56
He meant that it LOOKS LIKE it was repeated. So he would use other angles as well, so it wouldn't feel repeated.

I think that more than controlling the haters at the beggining, he's going alone and facing them, that has been always a part of his role as the leader, receiving much more hate than many of the other members, taking the brunt of it even more at the international level...
But as the song says, I trust myself, I trust Bangtan, so even the haters that shoots canonballs shed their figurative hate for BTS and then learn to love them and defend them (Fun Fact: In the album the song comes after 2!3! and Spring day)
In the last chorus you hear the marching steps in the music! now they are dancing with ARMY
And at the end The boys see the sacrifice of the ARMY, and close the MV with a final shot of them being the Bulletproof boys, defending their ARMY...
And this was just before the rebranding to the new logo that together BTS and ARMY is a shield!
I think you're right. As the leader of a kpoo group, if another member messes up, you'll get scolded, because it is your responsibility to make sure the members are the best they can be. Plus, in Namjoon's case, back in the early days, whenever they got hate comments and the members would ask him to translate since he was the only one who knew English, Namjoon would translate it as something positive so it wouldn't hurt his members, especially the younger ones, and would deal with all the hate by himself. He truly is a wonderful person.

At the point you're talking about repeating the same shot 3 times, they're actually 3 different shots timed exactly the same. First shot, Junkook throws up 1 hand, 2nd shot 2 hands and 3rd shot the hooded figures have disappeared. It looks the same but tells a narrative about taking aim at their haters and systematically blowing them away

Another theory that links to the people in black is from BTS' spring day MV. This is based on the book "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" where there was this town filled with only beauty and happiness where no one ever knew pain or suffering. However, this is at the cost of one child who was always sad and in pain. So the story is about the people (BTS) who took the boy (Jungkook) and ran from Omelas in order to save him. By doing this BTS then sacrificed their own happiness. So the hooded figures are not just haters, but the people from Omelas who are chasing the BTS and the boy in order to get their happiness back. the reason that Jungkook wasn't shot on the mountain scene was so that he didn't die and they could take him back to Omelas, but then at the moment when the haters became fans, the people realised that beauty and happiness can be found in everything. This story line can be seen in music videos all the way from 'Spring Day' to 'Fake Love' where you can see the struggles that BTS have faced along this journey. There are many different story lines within the BTS universe but they so all link together in some way.
whatever choices they made in this MV, it brought me to BTS bc i couldn't stop coming back after i first saw it

OMG this music video is the one that got me hooked into BTS, it totally blew me away and the first time watching it was a very special moment for me. The colors, the compositions and how the camera movement enhanced the choreography. The sound of them stomping on the block of ice (?) at the climax of the song. So much power and energy.
