Love the colors! I had a set of RBK P2/P1 skinned with the 580 break glove that were white with silver accents my freshman year of college. The new nhl rules had just gone into effect and lefevre factory didn’t have dies to cut the jenpro, so everything was cut and sewn by hand. I’ve worn stock ccm sets since then, but nothing felt as good as the set from that factory. Congrats Trav on the new set, enjoy them!

Wow. The mobility and pop of that blocker. Just Wow. All other companies better be taking notes cause that is as close to a flawless design as it gets. Thanks for sharing Trav and super excited where your tenacious practice and innovative gear is gonna take you next.

Trav, just wanna say thanks for all your videos. Played my first game since Covid the 19th and had an awesome game. My biggest game changer is being more patient. If that same guy scores on me on a breakaway next time I'm coming out farther, setting up, challenging him playing a game of cat and mouse, if he scores again I come out a little further. It's interesting because the shooter is not ready for the challenge. Square up, deny the angles! Wanna get rid of those old G4's...LOL!

    • @gaikokuhito5574
      @gaikokuhito5574 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Simple answer is correct fitting gear will always improve your feel around your game and it comes down to preference with some of the gear. As Trav mentions about the preference of his glove through the video. Having a short pad improved mobility but also creates more holes in areas that were covered previously so if you can cover/improve your game while improve feel, comfort and mobility then it is a great move.

Those are clean and sharp! You can see how comfortable you look skating in them in the video. I get that same feeling on the ice in my Passau set. Confidence in what you are wearing is huge. I like the call on shortening the thigh rise too. You looked a lot more smooth in your skating (in my opinion at least!). I am curious what you think of that back strapping? I have a smart strapping setup on my Passau set and really like it, so curious how Lefevre's strapping compares to your previous sets you've worn. Cheers on the new set! No better feeling!

Dude, those look great! Clean and nice, colour scheme works awesome. Already looks like you are moving better than in the G4s too.
One question about the sizing.. Did they relocate the knee cradle? I've had smaller pads and it seemed I hit my knee lots to the ice when dropping down.. Being such a tall guy how do you avoid that?

Damn, dem pads is nawice. Quick question, does the blocker give Bauer a run for it's money? That mobility looks like it'll be insane! Also, when you get your mask repainted (whenever that is), are you going to go for a simmilar striped pattern? Maybe have those designs on your mask be a very light grey with stripes of silver lightning flashing over top. Kinda like what Lundquvist does to his masks (especially his 18-19 mask.)

I personally thought the glove looks "off"
But the way you were snagging shots. In my mind looks are irrelevant.
It looks like a great piece.
Pads look ok. Pretty basic appearance.
But again performance wise they look like you adapted quickly.
Would be interested in how they slide on good ice, compared to your warriors.
    Good video trav

Looks like you have the same problem as me with slight under rotation. Especially the left pad. I’ve had 2 sets of CCM eflex’s, totally different specs and the same problem. I even tried wearing em super super loose but I’m exactly where you are man.
If you figure that out please post.

I really want a pair of lefevre gear but I need to be sized properly for it and I need to make sure everything works well because my last pair of ccm eflex’s had a few things wrong. I also really like the lefevre gear and I’ve done a lot of research on it but it’s also fairly pricey.

hey bud enjoy your time and keep working hard. 1 question I have for you is knowing that you are big into puck handling, have you noticed a big difference going to a 90 degree angle? I have heard it is way harder to grab the stick for puck handling. Also what made you change glove angles?

@@trav4oilers Because of COVID 19 my second hip surgery is delayed so it will still be a while before I will be able to get between the pipes, like a year or more, although with my usual mindset probably less.
