IT FINALLY HAPPENED. BIG LOVE TO BOTH CELTIC AND RANGERS FANS, ENERGY UNMATCHED.
I ventured up to Glasgow to find out what the Old Firm is all about, chatting to both Celtic and Rangers fans in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.

@@patrickburke3509 no he didn’t. He didn’t pay the BOS £6m to clear the debts. He didn’t launch a share issue which meant Celtic changed corporate structure to a PLC and he didn’t buy an off the shelf company called Pacific Shelf to park the old name of the club. He liquidated the club and started a new one. All under the noses of the media which nobody knew about until 2012.

Celtic fans actually think Rangers died even though it was in the administration deal to transfer the name badge and honours over. The fact is the SFA and UEFA congratulated Rangers on the record breaking 55th league title. See when a football club becomes incorporated with a company and said club/company enters liquidation it then ceases to exist. If the SFA/UEFA etc deem the current version of Rangers the same as the old then that's their opinion due to commercial pressure. No rationale has ever been given as to how the newco Rangers are the same club despite the legal process saying otherwise.

What Rational do you want? it was in the administration agreement time to move on because it doesn't matter now Rangers are the most successful club in the world which UEFA keeps telling us. First of all the incorporation/''one, and the same'' argument is a legal personality argument, and it's one that is defined based on the clubs legal function. However the difference is the formation of the club, the football, and all the history. It doesn't mean the club is literally the company because the formation date is the distinction, it simply means that the company administers the business for the club. Nowhere does it say incorporation can prevent the sale from one company to another, business, and undertakings have, and will continue to be sold off as that happens allot in business. With Rangers it was no different. In fact HMRC are quoted on the matter saying the following ''Liquidation does not prejudice the proposed sale of the club. The sale can either take place through a CVA, or a liquidation''. What you're doing is attempting to loosely misuse a definition of a word, and apply it to your ''one size fits all'' narrative. That isn't always the case. With administration/liquidations regarding football clubs you have some scenarios that are similar, and others that are different, and this all depends on which sale, or consortium agreement takes place in regards to what get's retained. In Rangers case the club was retained as confirmed via Article 6 of the articles of associations act of the SPL, and it's this that has since been legally established via Lord Nimmo Smith's commission.
@@JohnnyPaton The Celtc Newco 1994 has a new company number from the deceased Celtc Football & Athletic Company. The new Celtc were even rebranded as the Hoops who play at Celtc Park, and not the former Celts who played at Parkhead.

Registered under a new name / company in 2012. Begged the S F A ( please sir can we play football in Scotland) that’s why the new club had to begin again in the bottom tier of Scottish football. We never have and never will be half of anything.
Yer small east end club died in 1994. New club name, new company name, new company number, new club shirt badge, new name for your ground. The old Celtc Athletic is no more. It has ceased to be.

@@mrsuperger5429 come back when you understand what holding companies and subsidiaries are. Celtic are still run by the same original holding company from the 1800’s, a change of name means nothing and any other companies under it are subsidiaries (current Rangers have a similar structure). Rangers original holding company went into liquidation, that’s why you had to apply to join the lowest tier, had to play in the early rounds of the cups, couldn’t play in Europe and players were allowed to leave for free. Hope this helps. 👍 Btw club & companies are joined legal entities.
