Some of d songket materials on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman r quite cheap n affordable. I've been told that some of them were made by machine, imported from Pakistan. D original handmade weaved songket nowadays can cost a lot, more or less RM500 depending on d design n pattern.

Yeah, whenever there's a festival, be it Raya, Chinese New Year or Deepavali, everyone is out and about, busy doing their shopping. Everywhere will be packed like sardines 😄🤓. A great experience you both had, hunting for baju melayu, samping, and baju kurung moden. A big shout-out to Abang Ajib for the songkok that he bought for Steve.
