Has anyone else had that childish feeling that the 90s and 2000s in real life actually had this colour scheme and that everything in nature became HD after 2010?

    • @-_krish_-
      @-_krish_- 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

Since childhood I was shown historical scenes of 90's and after in such color pictures which makes them look painted and older history like 80's and before in black and white, has affected me so much that I used to think The world was actually black and white and slowly it got upgraded into color. Even now after knowing that it was the camera technology I could not feel such history without these color and it makes me feel nostalgic even though I never experienced such times like 90's considering I was born on 2003. Especially cinema had a liveliness even with such poor color technology but now everything feels lifeless but I think it's just me started to understand and see the world of how it is than dreaming like child.

So much nostalgia i'm in tears now. The first year I came to Chennai was in 2002. I was 6 year old back then. Thereafter every annual holidays I used to come to Chennai and stay for a month. grandpa, Grandma, my then bachelor Uncle, aunt nd cousins they all used to live together as a joint family. we'll go to beaches, VGP, Kishkinta, Tnagar, Birla planetarium, Mayajaal, Sathyam cinemas, Museum, vandalur park etc... Everywhere we used to go by bus, Suburban train or AUTO after so much price negotiations. Sometimes when everyone went to office nd i'm too bored my grandpa would take me to suburban train as i madly love trains. We'll go from TBM to beach station nd come back.
Now I'm settled in chennai but missing those old memories. All my family members who were in chennai now went abroad. Lost my wonderful grandpa recently 3 months ago. After his death the house which gave me wonderful memories since 2002 doesn't feel the same. People are not as lively as before. People are overusing the word privacy these days and avoiding conversing with humans as much as possible. You can live surrounded by 3000 houses in a gated community and still feel lonely these days. Everyone looking at a handheld screen in mall, bus, train, movie interval, while waiting in a clinic, bus stop, signal, even while walking. There were few photos and more conversations back then whenever we go out but now there's soo many photographs, reels, HASHTAGS , TRENDS and very less conversation happening. But health, road and other infra is much better now. Only humans have gone inside a entertainment cocoon due to mobiles. Use the gadgets responsibly.
Ippo oru pithiyam solradhu puriyaama "Nee mattum youtube la video paathu comment podra" nu sollum paaren. Responsible ah use panna sonne raasa. Gadgets eh use pannaadha nu sollala. alavoda use pannu.

Huge difference, did you see any ladies wearing muslim clothing ? Do you see all the men wearing light colour shirts and no tshirts and munda banians, ara nijjar like tramps, vagabonds, and wastrels ? Most of the shops in Mount Road has disappeared, there is no foot traffic.
Girls use to dress well, especially on the mount road near Q-E-M College, with so many girls colleges, it was like a fashion parade. Now they dress like thiru vodi endhiya picchaikaris. I dont know weather the parents are picckaikarans or the girls. Looks like tharudhalainngu porandhadhus. There is lots more.
There use to be more nice South Indian restaurants, you cant find many in Madras, they stopped serving puzhungal arisi. Even getting decent filter coffee and sappadu is.impossible in Chennai. Basically there is no food scene, except very few places. I don't know if peoples tongues have cancer or something. Worst is in many restaurants they serve food in Nai plates(plastic plates meant for dogs). The standards of Chennai people is so low. Horrible.
The list is endless, it started deteriorating by mid 90s. Now Madras had become Chennai, it looks and feels like Karachi in Pakistan. Yep for sure, except some times once in a while you get reminded you are not in Karachi.
Almost all places you have swarms of mosquitoes, Shocking was Kapali kovil kulam. People have shit all around the Kolam, it has dried and the stench. People eating food right there standing from shops.

Guys I was 17 yrs old during 2002 as being born and living till now in Chennai only. The Madras to Chennai and from Chennai to metro city has changed a lot. Now the metro city has been changing to smart city. I wish like me many had memories of Chennai and our land tamilnadu. But few things unchanged was garbages system, sewerage system. It can't be changed by TN govt alone unless we have our own self discipline. We can't throw or dump our garbages anywhere on the roads or the street if the bin is not present. Similarly we can't send rain water and other miscellaneous things in our sewerage which let into overflow of main chamber of sewerage. If we have our own self discipline and follow these simple two things then present Chennai is far better than 2000, 1990 or 1980 Chennai. Final words avoid plastic and segregate composite and decomposite waste in our daily garbage collector. Make green environment such as plant ur home and avoid fire crackers for air pollution.

I don't think it has become better, i like the old Madras less crowd, less traffic and more Greenary It was a little cooler back then we had little and life was simple, less worries It is all moments now some have even faded away 😢,
Now we have all the modern amenities in Madras( Chennai), but almost all of us are not happy from the heart,in a moment we are happy, once that moment passes sorrow and an anxiety comes to our face, probably as we grow older this happens, but I have seen it even in youngsters, only 90s and 2k kids can tell.

2002 - what a year it was ! Met my first love during 10th std. 🥰🥰
Other than that some important events:-
    1. Ganguly's young team India wins Natwest and ICC trophy
    2. Brazil defeats Germany to win FIFA world cup. Ronaldo scores twice in final and joins Real Madrid
    3. Norway brokers ceasefire between LTTE and SriLanka. Prabhakaran publicly appears in a historic press meet.
    4. Rajni's first flop after ages - Baba
    5. Madhavan can play action too - Run
    6. Bajaj launches some new bike named 'Pulsar' - rest was history..
    7. Greatest movie series - Harry Potter 1 releases in summer
    8. 'Devdas' gets accolades at Cannes festival
    9. Ajith-Vijay deepavali clash and both were winners. Villain and Bagavathy.
    10. Spider Man 1🥰- Tobey Maguire (became very relevant in end of 2021!)
    11. Bond film - Die Another Day!
    12. India's first girl band by channel V- "Viva girls" launched
    13. Rock debuts as Hero in "Scorpion King"
    14. Simbu and Dhanush debut as hero
    15. 'O Podu' and 'Aal thotta boobathy' became blockbusters
    15. APJ Abdul Kalam sworn in as India's president
    16. One of my favourite films - '5 star' releases
