    Love the pacing of the beginning. So many conductors really milk it and drag it out and it gets heavy but he keeps it energetic without losing the drama.

    one of the first albums i bought,as a high school kid ....56 yrs ago , and it STILL brings tears and that thickness in the throat...never did get to perform it , now too late....this symphony is the apex , to me , of euro-culture . i despair in my old age that the message has not been heard oh Ludvig !

    • @fredmiller2572
      @fredmiller2572 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      kcaj mortsnnew Your affection for this particular symphony is admirable. Its great to know that you still get moved by listening to it even today after so many years. But please don't be upset that ludwig's message wasn't heard. It has been in so many ways both in letter and spirit. What's happening in the world with all the fighting is awful but it's always good to know that powerful reminders of brotherhood like this masterpiece are still taken seriously and are relevant even today. Please don't despair as there's still hope left in this world. I hope you have a wonderful day.

    Thank you for sharing this splendid version of the ninth symphony. The performers do a great job, the Dutch public is as quiet and polite as ever, the picture and sound are excellent ... but the room, I love the Concertgebouw, gives a sonority that makes the result unmatched. I highly recommend to those who have the possibility to approach Amsterdam, to attend any of the numerous concerts that are scheduled in the Concertgebouw and live the experience.

    Spannende Aufführung dieses ewigen Meisterwerks mit perfekt synchronisierten Töne aller Instrumente und gut kontrollierten Stimmen aller Sänger im relativ schnellen Tempo. Der Dirigent ist echt genial!

    Although ideosyncratic and personal at times, this interpretation by Maestro Stenz of Beethoven's Ninth is exciting and a welcome addition to the long list of performances extant. Great ensemble work by the orchestra, soloists, and chorus as well as excellent camera work make this TH-cam clip special in many ways.

    Ultimo capolavoro sinfonico sublime celestiale meravigliosa del compositore Ludwig Van Beethoven 1770 - 1827; lui cinque concerti pianoforte orchestra, 32 sonate per pianoforte, nove sinfonie, unica opera lirica musicale chiamata Fidelio, concerti per strumenti Archi e pianoforte, altri concerti svariati.

    Coincido con otros comentaristas en que el “tempo” del maestro Stenz es un poco rápido para mi gusto, sobre todo en el tercer movimiento, pero en su conjunto la obra es magistral, una excelente orquesta, magníficos solistas y coro. ¡Gracias a Avrotros por traernos estas oportunidades a nuestro alcance en México con tanta rapidez!

    Although I am a huge fan of Beethoven, the 9th typically isn't my favorite of his symphonies. However, this performance was excellent and helped me appreciate the work in new ways.

    Was great to be in the Concertgebouw during this amazing concert... To bad some moron forgot to switch of his/her cellphone, but other then that it was a memorable morning... The conductor, orchestra, chorus and soloïsts where absolutely phenomenal... Personally I like the first three movements a bit slower, but I wouldn't have want to missed it. Still enjoying it! Compliments for the registration. Both audio and video quality are outstanding!

      It sounds such a clear and beautiful without vibrato, and it's powerful at the same time.

    Technically brilliant but a trifle too bombasic and declamatory. Could have been more lyrical.
