Love these videos, so well thought out & informative! I gave in last year & finally bought prescription polarized bifocal sunglasses…spendy but worth every penny (I just turned 50 this month). I used to laugh at my Dad when he was my age, trying to thread the eye on small to tiny hooks…now I get it. Of course he’s mid 70s now & laughs at me saying, “ just wait!” LOL!
I have become addicted to this channel. You make great content and have helped me with ideas for the Kayak I pick up today, it’s a 2023 Old Town Sportsman AutoPilot 136 I ordered for half price because it wasn’t painted.
@@gregstabryla9945 yeah if you are looking for a good deal on a kayak just message the company that makes them and ask if the have any without paint or wraps. They usually do have about 1-20 in stock at all times and they are discounted. Then if you want you can just paint it or wrap it yourself.
I like what you did with the DYI crate. However, with a need to secure as well as weatherproof my crate my solution differed. A Baur waterproof lockable tool box from Harbor Freight which has two removal tool racks which which work great for tools, lures etc. I then mounted two 3 piece rod holders from Wal-Mart. Well you get the picture. Do love the videos, make us think and although we may do things differently you are very good at keeping it enjoyable as well as educational. Some good tips. Because as you well know, it's better to learn from others mistakes whenever possible. LOL
Love me some "post mortem". Wish I'd have focused on boat positioning before I ever threw on a rod holder. Just watched your DIY keel guard v-2; how's the Goop holding up? Do you think it's the same as 3M-5200? I do woodworking also, just sub'd your wife's channel. Peace.
Right on brother! The goop is my favorite adhesion and has been holding up like a boss. Cheapest, easiest, and holding up.. what else do you need right?
@@wendellfishing have you heard good things about the Perception Pescador 10? I'm somewhat limited to what I can get in my area + budget (Inflation is crazy in Canada). I'm hoping I made the right choice after a lot of research within my budget.

Building your own crate is so easy and fun. Deff give it a try.
Nothing like having something quality come from the labor of your own hands.
Love your channel, thank you for all the great information!!
