Actually, Iliya got it all messed up. One time trainees were asked to pick 5 contestants who they want to be in the group (out of 20+ participants it seems like only 1 person voted for her). When elimination came she started saying "it's ok, y'all wanted me out anyway" while other eliminated contestants understand that it's only natural since the management said that only 5 contestants should be chosen
@Jeong.in.P1eces_Riize.is.7 bruh id think anyone would be upset if all your friends felt like you dont belong in the group you were working your ass of to be in
No actually her saying You guys wanted me out anyway was in response to the survey "who do you think will be out next" where she got the most votes with a huge margin. People get it mixed up because the production posted the reaction twice, once at the end of an episode after the "who would you want to debut with", and once in the next episode after the "whos next out" survey. Its obvious from the way the documentary is cut that they were trying to create more drama and make her look bad, I think she has a right to be upset after the majority of the girls said she would be the next one to leave
iliya has a lot of talent and I feel like she brought such a good vibe from what we could see in the documentary, and ofc she's allowed to be upset. But, I will say, the way she was eliminated is not something you go after your peers for. That anger is better suited being directed at a certain team of devils (NOT THE TEACHERS, THEY WERE LOVELY)
Yeah. I don't even really blame her for taking it out on the other girls in the heat of the moment (that whole segment was _supposed_ to create tension between the girls). But to still be salty after a year? Sophia was right: they weren't asked to make a friend group. Yes, you want the group to get along well. But you should ALSO choose people with a similar work style and whose voices/dancing blend well with yours. I get that it stings but that kind of question should never be taken personally.
@dontnoticemesenpai6745 Yeah, ofc. Iliya was allowed to have her feelings and it's not like she went ballistic on them. It just kinda felt misdirected later on. I literally hated how much the execs wanted to stir things up during the process just for drama. which ik is a typical element for competition shows (and documentaries) but stillll
To be honest I didn’t like Iliya. When she was eliminated, Sophia came up to her and said « you’re a superstar, I look up to you » and Iliya just says « you voted me out 3x » like ppl are telling you that they look up to you and you just care about the fact that you got eliminated
Yeah Sophia looked up to her because Sophia is a vocalist and she is a fan of Iliya’s voice however from the get go you can tell Iliya doesn’t really fit the group she is meant to be a soloist with her vocals.
They were not being mean to Manon as far as I have seen from the documentary. They are just being honest that she needs to show up during training and rehearsals just like everybody else who makes an effort. Even she admitted that she needs to be accountable for her own actions. That is not being mean… that is being honest and truthful.
@@jennielovesyou-t5sLara as a scorpio and Sophia as a capricorn hates lazy people and people who makes lots of excuses like Manon. Lara and Sophia were hardworking while Manon just stayed out of their dream academy house just coz she doesn't feel comfy with the other girls. Why did she even bother continuing if she doesn't want to be in a group?
The criticism to Manon was beyond fair and even she knew it. Also I did not like Iliya after she went scorched earth on the girls for answering a question she also answered. There were people who got less votes on her and they didn’t get snarky.
all i see is someone who’s jealous and envious that they didn’t make it. i understand feeling upset but taking it out on someone who you were not even close with + it’s been like 2 years. just let it go man😭
She's not jealous or envious at all. Many of the girls who made it didn't treat her well during the journey so what do you expect her to lie and say everything was amazing?
What if her reaction is normal, I mean anyone can lie to look good on screen. Ilya is so done with the two faces people at that point. Don't trust whatever you see on screen as the truth 😊
@@minhmeo5010 that is true however she only said it to sophia (giving a benefit of a doubt though as the video maybe edited) manon was there too watching them and yet when sophia approached her , illiya said "you voted me out" like guilt tripping her or something when the rest of the girls didnt vote for her too
@@taehyungsarmyfrr! that’s what i thought. she has more of a soloist vocal and i think if she had joined katseye and made it into the final lineup, there would have been a lot of drama going on and she wouldn’t fit into the groups vibes that much. so happy the final lineup is what it is rn and that ilya can move on to something that fits her more
nah I get that she was being rude to them when they tried comforting her, but it wasn't the "who would you want in your group?" that mainly pissed her off. there was another survey about "who do you think will be eliminated?" and ilya won that with 11 votes (the highest). that's why when Sophia comes to talk to her, ilya repeats "you wanted me out". not justifying her behavior, just explaining 😭
@@kagi-ura ohhh i see. i watched dream academy a while back and i feel like i’ve forgotten everything that went down. but i feel like she should have acknowledged that sophia was trying to comfort her before she did all of that. but then again, people react differently to defeat especially when they worked so hard for it, so i understand why she reacted that way.
During that crazy mission, all members are somewhat forced to mention just 5 names. It's definitely unreal to include everyone, and clearly the one less fit for the group will not be voted by the members. Some may be disappointed that their friends didn't vote for them and felt betrayed... but it's the reality that some are obviously talent as Soloists (as proved by Adela in her own debut song this week, though eliminated on first stage) rather than a member of a group. In one sentence, unique voice better go solo! And that's why they were not chosen by anyone. Being friends with someone didn't mean you can be unfair and choose your friends rather than someone fit. It's an occupation, a job, a work, not having a game group in your school with your besties. For the best future of the group and that's the ultimate goal.
It's not only about that question scene, let's be real, there were clearly cliques. Some girls had formed groups and others were ostracised. There was the popular group that was made up of Sophia, Lara, Megan, Adela, Naisha, Emily, Samara etc... There was the ostracised group made up of Manon and Illiya. If you watched the documentary, Go rewatch before Manon arrived, what the girls were saying. Before meeting her, it's clear the popular group were feeling some type of way about her, clearly jealousy. The only girl that was nice to her was Illiya from the get go. She welcome Manon in her room and started talking to her saying she stalked her on Instagram and how gorgeous she is. It's clearly that she became close with Manon from the moment Manon joined. Illiya was also Manon's roommate in Korea. Illya also said in the documentary that she felt like she was ostracised in her group in mission 2 and that the girls in her group were acting weird with her like she was the reason their bestie Adela got sent home (Remember Illiya was the last one saved in mission 1 and Adela eliminated). Her group was mostly made of Adela's besties. Add that to the fact that she was friend with the girl the popular group hated, she definitely went through a bad experience. She recently posted a video with Manon and has said nice things about Manon so clearly she doesn't hate the group as a whole but likely many members who probably treated her badly based on her comments on the documentary.
If you watch the documentary, she didn't specifically mean Katseye. Why would she shade Katseye members when she said in the past that out of all the contestants, she will miss Manon, Sophia, and Celeste. That's like two of the Katseye members.
@@lawtraf8008girl, u really hate Sophia that much huh?! what will u gain anyways? keep on hating 🤪 Sophia will keep on shining ✨are u Ilya?😝 aside, Ilya doesn’t fit the group visually and vocally. That’s a fact 💯
she just couldn't get over the fact that they didn't vote her to be a part of the group. she was dragging that the whole episode. She's a great vocalist i think she's better solo anyway like Adela. Adela in fact is the best one to come out of this she literally showed when they told her she can solo, she proved that.
Not really. She couldn't stand the fact that a lot of these girls were trying to act fake nice when the camera were rolling. Most of the girls clearly wanted her gone so why did they start fake crying and acting sad when she got eliminated? That's why she said what she said in the show.
@ they were asked to vote because it was a competition? but the vote had no bearing. When you’re in a survival show you build relationship doesn’t mean that just because they don’t see her as strong contestant doesn’t mean that they don’t sympathise with her being eliminated. A vote against a competitor doesn’t supersede empathy/emotion. She should have understood that and not made the comment or she probably made the comment out of jest given she’s european fluent in english.
@@chef13456 Stop your nonsense. There was clearly a popular clique that used to give weird/mean girl energy to the ones they didn't like. It was way more than I'm just closer to this one and not this one. Illiya was one of the girls the popular clique (Sophia, Lara, Adela, Megan, Emily, Samara etc...) didn't necessarily like so try imagine Illiya's reaction when she was eliminated and she saw some of them apparently cry and feeling sad for her in front of the cameras when they weren't giving her this empathy behind the cameras. I would have called them out as well, I can't stand fakeness and hypocrisy. Illiya said it herself in the documentary that some of the girls were giving her weird energy after mission 1. Remember she was the last one saved and Adela was eliminated. In mission 2, she was in a group with some of Adela's best friends. On episode 6, at 22:53 she said " I was being blamed for taking Adela's spot, which was not true because I deserve to be here. I worked my hardest to be here. They looked at me like I killed someone". Tell me now how would you feel if that's how you were treated by some of these girls and then when you get eliminated, they start crying in front of the camera, acting all empathetic when they madebyou feel like sh*t the whole time you were there, giving you mean/nasty look, made you felt like you shouldn't be there. The vote was just the icing on the cake but they done so much to make her feel like she doesn't deserve to be there. That's literally the same thing they were doing to Manon. Making nasty comments, laughing behind her back, giving her nasty looks and saying she didn't deserve her spot. Manon said it as well in the documentary that Sophia used to give her nasty looks. But let me guess, Manon is lying, Illiya is lying, right? There was no popular mean girl clique, correct? They were nice girls and anybody who shares their experience about them is lying right? I'm a big fan of KATSEYE now. I moved on because Manon seem to have move on with them but it always piss me off when a lot of you try to deny that there was clearly a clique of mean girls in the show who didn't treat other girls in a good way. People can't fully move on if y'all keep lying and refusing to acknowledge what went down during the show.
@@lawtraf8008 what are you 10? You’re over analyzing a documentary about a survival programme. The girls already said it themselves there’s a lot of part that were cut. You stop with you bullsh*t and delusional narative that you created in your head. there were more than 10 girls there, obviously like in a classroom there will be groups that will be formed. No one and their mother said Iliya was undeserving to take Adela’s spot, she got higher votes and Adela did not but they were ofc not happy when they literally just voted who they wouldn’t think fit the group because Iliya’s dancing is not comparable to Adela and Adela is excellent in both singing and dancing you cannot blame the girls for feeling fairness on a competition. The girl were thinking about who deserved the spot the most in their perspective because they trained with each other, they were competitive even amongst themselves. Iliya is not a victim here, no one is a protagonist either. This is a show where cuts have been made so think what you’d like to think but you’re living in you own bubble. Period. Also Did she have her own documentary where she told people or you about how there was a group and they iced her out? Amazing narative formed here im impressed
1.bruh each trainee was to choose which other 5 trainees they would want to form a group with, none of them chose Iliya not because she's not wanted as a person but because of their performance all throughout their stay, it's not about who you're friends with at the end of the day, she seemed a real nice person tho but again its a competition 2.as for Manon, the other trainees were very vocal about how they are upset about her initial attitude towards the training, she violated loads of roles and missed a lot of rehearsals which seems to ignore what the others has been telling her, its great tho that she took accountability and actually exerted the effort expected from her
The only reason why I believe this was because of Lexie leaving... producers were def causing drama for the show and some played into it..Lexi was a real one for not playing into it
I mean, Iliya was not good compared to the other contestants anyway. There was nothing about her that made people say “Wow!”. I’m honestly surprised she made it as far as she did, I personally thought she sucked compared to the rest lol
True. I think it would be better for Iliya to debut as a soloist (naisha is talented but I think she's more of dancer than anything). I feel like if iliya had debuted in katseye, she would've broken the group up. She's way too competitive and self-centered to last in a group.
On Manon's issue on the otherhand, she started late but don't attend rehearsals, practices, and training lessons and is said to often break the rules which made the other contestants wonder if she's really serious with it. They look at it as "unfair" since all of them obeys the rules on the training camp while Manon breaks the rules without suffering consequences of what she did. On the later part of the show, Manon admitted her fault and knows what she lacks so she approached the girls to apologize and says that she will do her best from then on. After that, true to her words she never missed practices.
Stop lying. That's wasn't the real issue, they were jealous and envious of her popularity. They were mad that that they felt like they were working harder than her and fans still didn't care about them like they cared about her. They started this mean girl energy with Manon after the mission 1 results when they discovered that she ranked at the top. They kept crying about her getting so much more attention than them etc... If she wasn't as popular as she was, they wouldn't have cared about her "not working" as hard as them.
@@lawtraf8008 I guess you’re right but the girls put in a lot of effort so it’s LOGICAL for them to feel like manon’s praise was undeserved. I liked illya at first, but honestly I think she is still super salty about being eliminated. Her TikTok videos always seem to incorporate a way to shade katseye, and I don’t appreciate that. It’s ok to be disappointed, but she just won’t let the whole thing go
Iliya swore that the CONTESTANTS voted her out “you guys voted me out” she kept pushing the narrative that no one wanted her there. Of course she’ll say something like that

Not really. If that was the case she would hate all the girls who made it but she doesn't. She's still very close with Manon and has posted a recent video of them singing together and has also said nice thing about her. She just don't like other girls in Katseye who weren't nice to her during Dream Academy which is why she said the vibes were mean.
Hard work isnt as valued in other countries as much as in US or Korea. In some countries, the it factor is more important. It’s something a person just has. It’s not always about the struggle, sometimes it’s just about being gifted with that something that cannot be captured. The US and Korean system just always glorifies hardship as the key element of success. Manon had to learn about this the hard way.
honestly with the whole manon thing in the beginning I could understand why the other contestants would be upset, but after she had the conversation about the rest, they accepted it and moved on. that’s what should be done but at the end it shows adela (i think that’s her name), saying that the voting was unfair and manon didn’t deserve to debut when she was at the picnic with another contestant who got eliminated (i forgot her name). that was unnecessary. but for the iliya thing, i understand she was upset, but she didn’t have to come at the others like that. sophia literally came up to her and said “you’re a superstar” and “i look up to you” and she was like “but you just voted me out”. like girly sure you can be upset but it wasn’t her fault so don’t blame her.
its not “katseye member”, its all of the trainees since they all are still finalist at that time. also, its a competition, and we didnt get to see how these girls act off camera, there must be a real strong reason why majority of the girls vote illiya off. they all wanted to debut, its everyone for themselves. stop being childish.
It was really hard to watch the serie not because Ute was bad but because they didn’t hide any parts they included most of the stuff and it actually hurted
It’s a documentary you want the damn truth, not lies,it’s a competition not everything will be roses, they showed the bad the good and the growth which is what we wanna see
Well... There are things that... maybe is better not to say it, but they're showing the real face of them, but... The fan of idols is someone who wants to be cleverly lied to
Idk why she would say something like that in the show they were asked to rank 5 people who they would want in their group and no one said illiya and she ended up getting voted when her friends were crying for her she pretty much said “don’t be sad u voted for me” which was WILDDD
Just becoz they were eliminated, they r trying to bring katseye down.Cause jealousy uk.Hybe don't keep jealous people u better watch i-land how a guy named seon was elimited for trying to bring down others.👀
Not really, it's just the fact that a lot of the girls in Katseye treated her bad during the show. She doesn't hate the group as a whole. For example, she's very good friend with Manon and always says nice things about her because Manon treated her well during the show.
Iliya didnt get voted by the contestants because they picked other contestants to be in a group with if they could chose and iliya couldnt handle that and started calling everyone mean bc she didnt get picked
I felt so sad for Illya watching that part of the show, because she talked about how they hated her for “taking Adela’s spot”. When she tried to hug Sophia there was a clear cut and then suddenly her face looked upset and she walked away, then another girl hugged Sophia and she did nothing. There was clear toxicity. (Edit: sorry I made a bit of an error, i am pretty sure it was Megan she tried to hug)
@@Sejuani89 and that’s what I remember. no painting pictures, it’s just that simple. i don’t think sophia is a perfect person. she probably wouldn’t get along with me. but she debuted because she is a talented person and a hard worker. i made the comment in sympathy for illya.
She wasn’t shading Katseye the group, she said that because during the show they made all the girls vote for who they wanted to be in a group with and she was one of the girls that had zero or only one person vote for her. So when she got eliminated and there were girls who were pretending to be sad and crying she told them not to cry because none of them wanted to be in a group with her anyways since multiple girls had voted her out. Also, there were girls who didn’t like Manon and even though the root of the problem came from them not feeling like she was dedicated, they dragged it way more than they should’ve. They were giving her looks, laughing at her behind her back, and leaving her out even after she took accountability for her absence and started showing up. Manon was the only girl that everybody was throwing fits about missing practice (for being sick or prioritizing her mental health, mind you) and that was BEFORE the show had even started. Also none of them were in any position to criticize her in the first place. You’re all trainees. You’re all doing the same thing. There were other girls who missed practice and straight up showed that they didn’t wanna be there anymore and no one looked their way…
If you had watched the documentary you would know these accusations are unfounded and misleading. Does everyone want to be famous and relevant on social media? That’s the last thing I would want.
Well I watched the show Illya is not wrong because none of the members or staff were properly paying attention to her and the other members were a bit sad because their favorite person in the group got eliminated and she stayed so after that they didn’t pay much attention to her
ok so she wasn't mistreated at all but the girls didn't like the pretty privileged treatment manon was getting she missed the rehearsals and practices because she didn't want to and that they know that manon was casted just because she was pretty tbh I wouldn't like that either if a person who isn't responsible gets the position of a talented person who worked hard for It I love her but she should be a bit responsible for the hate
They were mean, jealous and envious. Their main issue wasn't really her not working as hard as them,, it was her not working as hard and still being way more popular than them. The issue was her popularity with the fans. They started that mean girl energy after the results from mission 1 were revealed. They were so mad that Manon ranked in the top. They kept talking about " It's unfair, she's getting so much attention because she's pretty etc..." The "she wasn't dedicated" argument was just an excuse to the fact that their main issue was her popularity. If she wasn't dedicated and was at the bottom of the votes I can assure you, they wouldn't have been mad.
@@lawtraf8008 well it's not about that she was just popular but they considered it as unprofessional and still being popular cuz as a human it hurts when you're working so hard for something and a person is getting that easily. Stop spreading fake news, she was talking about mission 2 were the contestants had to choose who would dabute with them and she only got 1 vote and that was way before the actual Katseye got formed which includes other contestants
We know why she said that tho, in the Doc it was stated that all contestants voted for who they wanted to be in the group and literally only one person wanted her in the group’s final lineup. She was clearly very frustrated and felt betrayed in that moment, and I would have reacted the same way as her; “Y’all didn’t Want me in the group” why I want to be in a team that doesn’t want me🤷♂️
They weren’t being mean to Manon they were just frustrated she wasn’t showing up when she was supposed to and that mission one was voted mainly based on nationality and looks rather than skill
They kept saying the only reason she was ranked high was because she was pretty and while that is a factor that is not the only reason. The first mission was judged(by fans) off of literally how you looked and how well you did in your group(singing or dancing) you were put in. People liked the way Manon looked and the way she sung so she was ranked high. Same goes for Sophia, Lara, Nayoung, Samara and in the dancing group Yoonchae. Looks played a factor in the first mission for everyone listed and not listed which is why they were ranked the way they were. Now let’s address the showing up part. The other girls have a right to their emotions it’s how you go about it that makes your actions wrong or right. They talked behind her back, Lara(my girl tho I didn’t not like this part) said when the rankings came out for the first mission that it wasn’t based on talent but instead only on how pretty you look implies that Manon isn’t talented and only got by on looks when that is not the case. Manon comes from a different culture and like any other person had a hard time adjusting to the “norm” of this program. Which was to work yourself to the point you injured yourself and STILL showed up. Her culture has a good work-life balance and she wasn’t 100% sure of the level of intensity she was getting herself into. She was never a professional when it came to dancing so the way her body would react as a COMPLETE beginner is different then how the other girls’ body would. She took time off(by the way it was later said by MISSY HERSELF that attendance was not mandatory in an interview) to heal from being sore and also from being sick on occasion. This and the fact that she was insecure because of knowing her skill set is lower than the other girls and feeling like she had to be perfect or on part with them played into her missing days or have a much different work ethic or way of showing effort than the other girls. It was also outlined by her and another person IN THE DOC why she missed classes and what was holding her back from giving the program her all but it seem like you guys in the comments just wanted someone to dislike.
@ yes but she didn’t explain to the girls till much later why she wasn’t showing up and the girls were hurt because the first round was a tad unfair to like Adela and Emily were two of the most talented contestants (Emily being the best dancer and Adela being an all-rounder) but Adela who always ranked high before got a low ranking and was the first eliminated just because she wasn’t the Audience’s beauty standard and Emily got a low ranking for the same reason And I love Manon but she had only a couple small lines in the first round not enough to really evaluate her talent (not her fault obviously) and the groups that the vocalists were put in were obviously favoring to one side and not well rounded All being said I love the girls both who made it and who didn’t and I’m satisfied with the final lineup and I’m so so proud of Manon’s growth!
@@Soul.Everyth1ng there is no “yes but”😂. The “but” is making it seem like something I said is wrong when it is the truth and you are trying to make another excuse for them. Also they never ASKED her why she wasn’t there or was showing up late they just assumed she didn’t want the dream as bad as they did and judged her based off of that. That is not how I would got about a situation like that, I would be a bit frustrated but I would approach that person and ask what’s going on with them before immediately questioning their talent, work ethic, and commitment. It shouldn’t have taken her going to missy and asking for a sit down for them to finally understand her. They could’ve took the initiative to get to the bases of the problem to fix the dynamic of the program not just her. They can be hurt that’s a valid reaction to someone seeing that they weren’t going to be as high as they thought that would be but ultimately that is the reality and the industry they so desperately wanted a spot in. They had fan cams which showed them all individually so you could see who was who. Manon had a unique vocal tone that pulled people in and they wanted to see her get more lines to fully evaluate her honestly. It was an added bonus that she was pretty. All in all Adela made it seem like Manon had no talent because the way they work isn’t the same and only thought she got by based on solely being pretty which would not have gotten her anywhere with how strict kpop and music industry fans are. She worked hard and improved and earned that spot fairly. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
Honestly i think iliya totally mis interperted that the girls where being pitted against each other by only being able to choose 6 out of the like what? 20 something girls like thats crazy its not possible for them to choose everyone
She didn't. In the show it's clear that there was cliques formed. There was the popular girls and the ostracised ones like Illiya and Manon. Illiya has said even in the show that some girls had this mean girl weird energy towards her and those girls were the popular group aka " Sophia, Lara, Adela, Emily, Samara, Megan etc..".
@Janie.lillysophie Yeah but when the main clique behaves like mean girls and mistreats the ostracised girls, it's not reasonable so it make senses that Illiya would say what she said.

Omg, she’s so annoying. Ofc they didn’t want her in it lol. She wasn’t that amazing. If she was eliminated she can’t be mad her peers. Every other contestant eliminated was mature! Sophia said you are superstar I look up to you to her and all she said was you voted me out 3x like/
Y'all always say that koreans are shallow for always picking a person based on their looks and yet y'all doing the same now 😂😂 how the tables have turn, manon it is not even as talent as the other members and did not even apply to dream academy and was called by hybe in her dms because she was popular on the internet. She did not even show up to trained most of the times while the others gave sweet, blood and tears and were upset that manon was the fan favorite because she of her pretty privilege. Manon is tzuyu of dream academy.
Honestly, I feel like she’s over reacting. I get that she was upset that she got eliminated, I really do. But honestly, from the looks of it, do the Katseye members REALLY look mean? No. They seem so sweet. I feel it was out of envy that she said “the vibes were mean”.
Iliya needs to go to anger management classes. she was such a guilt tripper, like wdym “you voted me out” yada-yada-yada? especially saying that after sophia was trying to comfort you?? Iliya needs to get a grip. I honestly never liked her, she wants attention and she would never make it in the industry with her attitude.
I don't feel Samara's presence at all. She can sing yes, dancing not that much, and star factor is not giving. If she's in a group she'll get overshadowed by anyone.
She is just being mean...i mean brooo is you dont get in the group ull start to badmouth about everyone...thats so common..now a days so no shock for real😅
Unfortunately she didn’t fit in with the others that they picked, she was a good 5 inches shorter, and has a more youthfulness, innocent engagement, however, I think this was well worth it for her, she can easily dance professionally, become a choreographer, and potentially have a career that far outlives most of the girls on the show. She’s doing great right now, I agree with Adela that this wasn’t the way meant for her.
@@Emm325 yeah, that makes sense. At the time, I thought they were going to surprise everyone and be like, “there’s going to be a 7th member?” 😂 but yeah I’m sure the show has created new opportunities for her.

Tbh I didn’t really like iliya but idk man she was giving weird vibes which is why I didn’t like her so much. 😬 (Don’t come for me its just an opinion!)
Oh no, don't do Illya like that. Presenting it this way showed she's bitter but I believe she was pertaining to the whole set up of the show where they are making the girls turn against each other for drama effect.
They weren’t mean, they called Manon out bcos being the obvious favorite of the execs she didn’t work as hard as the other girls. It was unfair to them and they were right to call her out
They were mean, jealous and envious.
@@hayamirin6795 i see ur perspective thats very true but i think its being blown out of proportion that they didn’t want her there and being mean. Just because they were closer with adela doesn’t mean they werent equally as disappointed to see someone’s dream get taken away that they have been working side by side with for months. her initial reaction shows that she doesn’t have that perspective which is understandable for someone who is frustrated. i can agree that she wasn’t a favorite amongst the contestants or not included within certain friendships being created but I also think the girls were considering individuals online status and popularity and performance to literally form a group. to equate their honest evaluation as mean is upsetting. it wasn’t an attack that she wasn’t picked, its just preference. also those rankings were private and never discussed amongst one another thats why everyone was shocked and embarrassed, not just her. her rankings were never consistently high and there were some girls that performed stronger and fit within a group better, that’s unfortunately her reality. she’s super talented but maybe her fit isn’t a girl group. i still love her though! no hate over here. there was a lot of talented girls who some people would say they were “robbed” but the final group has amazing chemistry and based of their individual report cards, it just makes sense.
No I think u haven't heard Lara n Sophia's raw vocals. Go n watch Lara's covers. She is definitely the best vocalist in 5th gen. Don't bark when u know nothing bout them they all r talented. They r saying that Becoz they were eliminated n theyr prob jealous over them so saying shit
All of the girls are talented in their own ways but Hybe can put them all in one group since they were only planning for a small one. It's a matter of seeing if they will fit more and be balanced as a group. Also, tho the fan voting is obviously biased since people will vote whom they like, also plays an important part because it shows that that person has a connection with their audience and will benefit the group in terms of raking fans. That's why Manon is as important as the others as she has that magnet that draws people which very good for groups. She is also hardworking after she realized what this meant to her and took accountabality.
When i watched the show i also felt like Manon was not a deserving candidate to debut... But makers knows what's needed for a group to be popular... Manon has the face and the aura to bring more people to the fandom.... And also got an unique voice... The decision of debuting her was indeed a best decision... Let's hope for the best for katseye
It's hard to criticize Manon cuz her fans will automatically call u racist. Bruh manon got both pretty and race privilege. This video is also very misleading lol

Yeah Sophia looked up to her because Sophia is a vocalist and she is a fan of Iliya’s voice however from the get go you can tell Iliya doesn’t really fit the group she is meant to be a soloist with her vocals.

Thats how a competition works. You aren't there to make friends. You aren't obligated to care or feel bad that someone was eliminated. @lawtraf8008
I love Lexie. Hope to see her in a group someday
Just because no one wanted her in the group doesn't mean that the vibes were mean... Just means you don't belong in the group, anyways
1.bruh each trainee was to choose which other 5 trainees they would want to form a group with, none of them chose Iliya not because she's not wanted as a person but because of their performance all throughout their stay, it's not about who you're friends with at the end of the day, she seemed a real nice person tho but again its a competition
2.as for Manon, the other trainees were very vocal about how they are upset about her initial attitude towards the training, she violated loads of roles and missed a lot of rehearsals which seems to ignore what the others has been telling her, its great tho that she took accountability and actually exerted the effort expected from her
The only reason why I believe this was because of Lexie leaving... producers were def causing drama for the show and some played into it..Lexi was a real one for not playing into it
I mean, Iliya was not good compared to the other contestants anyway. There was nothing about her that made people say “Wow!”. I’m honestly surprised she made it as far as she did, I personally thought she sucked compared to the rest lol

She's not bitter at all. She just shared her real experience. Naisha and Adela are definitely bitter with Adela as the number 1 .
Iliya was the one mean here. She is sour graping. She got 11 votes as the one out. And she lashed out.
MUALANI WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE 😭🙏
Where is she?
@@Im_Your_Joy0_0 the commenter’s pfp xd
I felt so sad for Illya watching that part of the show, because she talked about how they hated her for “taking Adela’s spot”. When she tried to hug Sophia there was a clear cut and then suddenly her face looked upset and she walked away, then another girl hugged Sophia and she did nothing. There was clear toxicity.
(Edit: sorry I made a bit of an error, i am pretty sure it was Megan she tried to hug)
You trying to paint a bad picture with Sophia?
@@Sejuani89 if you can’t even read my full comment, don’t make a reply like that 💀
@@Sejuani89 and that’s what I remember. no painting pictures, it’s just that simple. i don’t think sophia is a perfect person. she probably wouldn’t get along with me. but she debuted because she is a talented person and a hard worker. i made the comment in sympathy for illya.
That girl needs to go anyway. Visualky and vocally she doesn’t really fit in the group. She’s meant to be a soloist
@@ipulledaqiqi Iliya also said that among the girls, she misses Celeste, Manon and SOPHIA so what's your point?
There were other girls who missed practice and straight up showed that they didn’t wanna be there anymore and no one looked their way…
It's competition on a survival show 😅
you need to fight for your spot, which includes getting rid of threats 🤦♀️
Yes! Either them or yourself. It is hard but its the truth
If you had watched the documentary you would know these accusations are unfounded and misleading. Does everyone want to be famous and relevant on social media? That’s the last thing I would want.
Those accusations are real.
They kept talking about " It's unfair, she's getting so much attention because she's pretty etc..."
The "she wasn't dedicated" argument was just an excuse to the fact that their main issue was her popularity.
They aren't mean or jealous they just have that feeling of being unappreciated and she was popular from before as she was an influencer. And yes with great power comes great responsibility she wasn't working as hard as them as she should have but now things are sorted between them and let's not take is out of the grave
@@doyouknowbts It was literally about Manon's popularity and you said it yourself. It hurt them that they felt like they were working harder and she was still more popular than them with the fans. You basically confirmed everything I said. That feeling is valid and normal, the problem is they took out their frustration on Manon who has nothing to do with it. It's not Manon's fault that fans like her and couldn't care less about them. What did they want Manon to do? To tell people to vote for them instead of her? lol. They kept making mean comments and giving Manon mean looks. We saw it and Manon said it herself in the documentary that they were doing that. Their feelings were valid but their actions weren't and if y'all want people to move on, it's need to be acknowledged. I also love KATSEYE but People won't move on if y'all still lie and deny what happened. Everytime y'all will come on here, lie and pretend they weren't doing anything, y'all will never have the situation in the grave. Your answer should be "yes they acted terribly towards Manon but now they talked it out and moved on".
@lawtraf8008 welll... You aren't even trying to understand looks like you haven't gone through what katseye members did how is it not manons fault huh ? She had to work hard but she didn't you do all the work but your colleague gets promoted just because they have better relations with the boss look like they can do anything girl this ain't a fairy land but the real world people gotta work hard to achieve but some people don't have to do as much and get is a bit easily stop defending her unprofessionalism and come back to the real world
Manon didn’t deserve to debut, they should’ve given that role to someone who didn’t skip practice a lot, was able to live with the girls cause hello that’s apart of being an idol. Show was rigged and there was definitely favoritism that played a roll in thid
R u people ok she is saying that the vibes were mean, means the system was cruel and it was.. it was just people working hard and their asses off just to be sent back home she is just saying that the vibes were mean and was affecting her mentality and that she was not meant there as they anyway didn’t want her
Stop spreading fake news, she was talking about mission 2 were the contestants had to choose who would dabute with them and she only got 1 vote and that was way before the actual Katseye got formed which includes other contestants
@ yes but she didn’t explain to the girls till much later why she wasn’t showing up and the girls were hurt because the first round was a tad unfair to like Adela and Emily were two of the most talented contestants (Emily being the best dancer and Adela being an all-rounder) but Adela who always ranked high before got a low ranking and was the first eliminated just because she wasn’t the Audience’s beauty standard and Emily got a low ranking for the same reason
And I love Manon but she had only a couple small lines in the first round not enough to really evaluate her talent (not her fault obviously) and the groups that the vocalists were put in were obviously favoring to one side and not well rounded
All being said I love the girls both who made it and who didn’t and I’m satisfied with the final lineup and I’m so so proud of Manon’s growth!
@ this isn’t worth arguing over the girls don’t have a problem with each other so it’d be useless for us Eyekons to have a good day
@ I wasn’t arguing but yeah
Werent they the ones talking smack about manon😭😭💀?.
@ honestly that sounds reasonable many times within a large group of girls cliques get formed
@Janie.lillysophie Yeah but when the main clique behaves like mean girls and mistreats the ostracised girls, it's not reasonable so it make senses that Illiya would say what she said.
@ i mean i dont know what actually went on behind the scenes we only know what is shown and we all know reality shows love to make everything more dramatic than it is and sophia+adela+emily where really popular among all the girls for being so nice so it makes me doubt if they where really mean girls or not tho i dont know idk them irl
Pop star academy aas rigged, lexie was right to leave. Everyone had so much potential
That’s true, she said herself. I just feel bad because I don’t think of it as pretty privilege, I think they saw some star potential in her
They are just jealous because they didn't make it through 😂
Glad Iliya's not included yikes
U dont have to be rude to katsye like wtf
Sry but Manon was not even training there sometimes...and none of them were mean to her.
Honestly, I feel like she’s over reacting. I get that she was upset that she got eliminated, I really do. But honestly, from the looks of it, do the Katseye members REALLY look mean? No. They seem so sweet. I feel it was out of envy that she said “the vibes were mean”.

Its a fact that there were many people better than Manon....and i felt that Samara was also a better option than manon...that girl is overhyped

I still think Emily should have been in the group
Yeah
Unfortunately she didn’t fit in with the others that they picked, she was a good 5 inches shorter, and has a more youthfulness, innocent engagement, however, I think this was well worth it for her, she can easily dance professionally, become a choreographer, and potentially have a career that far outlives most of the girls on the show. She’s doing great right now, I agree with Adela that this wasn’t the way meant for her.
@@Emm325 yeah, that makes sense. At the time, I thought they were going to surprise everyone and be like, “there’s going to be a 7th member?” 😂 but yeah I’m sure the show has created new opportunities for her.

i think she didn't refer necessarily to the members but to the unhealthy environment that they were put in

I think Iliya is confused of the situation…
She wasn't salty. She quite literally didn't get chosen for a single group. Very obvious they didn't like her
She even shares that she was given kinda off treatment by some of them because she replaced Adela's part in a mission after Adela got eliminated
That just sounds unnecessary and bitter coming from Iliya

All of the girls are talented in their own ways but Hybe can put them all in one group since they were only planning for a small one. It's a matter of seeing if they will fit more and be balanced as a group. Also, tho the fan voting is obviously biased since people will vote whom they like, also plays an important part because it shows that that person has a connection with their audience and will benefit the group in terms of raking fans. That's why Manon is as important as the others as she has that magnet that draws people which very good for groups. She is also hardworking after she realized what this meant to her and took accountabality.
