- Using scraps is one of my favourite ways of making collages. Setting some simple rules for yourself, is a grate way to practice and get better. Of course you can choose to do any size of substrate, any amount of pieces of paper you want. There are so many possibilities, its just start playing and se what you like and don't like. This piece is 10x10 cm.
I used watercolor paper as my substrate.

I was trying to encourage the young girl who lives downstairs from me to play with fabric, thread, ribbon etc, so to motivate her I made a little piece myself and enjoyed it immensely, I haven’t done this since I was a child 😂😂👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Sweet of you, and great you get your creative juices flowing
Thank you. And it´s nice to hear that there is no collage-police!
You’re welcome
Hello from Beautiful British Columbia Canada 🇨🇦
🙏
Very inspiring! I am going to take out my bag of scraps and go to work.
Thanks and that sounds like a great idea
💛 Thanks, this is a great idea. I’m going to start a collage scrap box.
Thank you. I will promise you the scraps will make baby’s in your box 😊
Going to have a lot of fun with all my scraps tonight! It will be really nice to have my favorite ones on cards!! Thank You!! New subscriber!! 😊
Welcome here and good luck with your collages 😊
How wonderful to see you work with some brighter colors. I continue my struggle with neutrals and have had some interesting results.
Thank you. Yes I had to use the papers I grabbed from the box as the “rules” said. I really don’t like the last purple one. But it’s the game and it’s nice to be challenged, a way to get better
Thank you!
🙏
Love these.
Thank you
Thank you. Since the beginning of the year I have been making a collage every day in a concertina sketch book, using up my huge pile of scraps. Some are successful, some not, but at least I am finding out what I like and getting the scraps down.
You’re welcome. Great idea. I doing the 100 day project.
Very inspiring. Many thanks!

Love the 5 minute challenge! Thanks!
Your welcome
Thank you for sharing your ideas so freely. The description above says you are using fabric and stitch on a substrate of heavy felt and I think this is a mistake. However, I would love to see you working with fabric and stitch on felt one day.
You’re welcome, I will check the text, thanks for enlightening me.
Wonderful Lisbeth! I have thrown out years of scraps at the beginning of year. I really miss them now!🙂 Have you ever made really big collages? 💖🍀
Thank you. I think the biggest I have made I 40x40 cm, a loot in 30x30 cm and even more in 20x20 cm. You can se the big ones on my website www.dragenkunst.dk
