1:30 just a bit of a fair warning - new crafting is the main thing that was cut from the initial build 42 release plans. We are still getting those new crafting options eventually, but when build 42 first becomes available as unstable branch, the crafting is going to be much more limited in scope. My expectation is mostly current crafting transferred to new framework of needing work surfaces or stations. And them updates over the next months will gradually add more crafting options as they get done and balanced. Also MP being off for unstable branch... TBH should be industry Sandard. Just to aboid headache of having to answer scores of noobs that they can't join your server because they need to switch steam branch. And even without that constantly switching between branches based on what server you want to play on is no fun. When build 42 goes stable (and build 41 becomes legacy branch) MP will be enabled for build 42 instantly. It is not going to be a bottleneck it was for build 41.

Well Indiestone has stressed time and time again that it's going to release this year, they've even hired people from other companies explicitly to get the game out. Yeah we're in early September and that leaves about four months, but it's a lot better than having to wait until midsummer of 2025. My best guess, since the most recent Thursdoid was mostly about how the update is feature complete (other than a few things that was bigger than they thought it would be) and they're mostly working on bugs and balancing... I'm willing to guess at least another two monthsish? Yeah that's not "soon" in the normal sense but it's still within the goal of 2024.
iirc Multiplayer won't be available during the initial Unstable release purely for the sake of the developers. It's a lot easier to figure out what went wrong in a singleplayer world instead of a server with 20 people all breaking things at once. Even if the lack of multiplayer extends into full release, I'm sure it won't take super long to get it working again.
