March 19, 2020 - At the time of great fear and panic in our country, with the coronavirus mania going on, I must put things in perspective and look at life back during World War II. This is my calming remedy, my peace, and now my salvation.

One of the major worries for George Marshall as the US entered WW2 was the caliber of the leadership qualities of American generals. None of them had commanded a division in wartime. The Carolina and Louisiana war games in the spring and summer of 1941 highlighted the miserable performance of many of them. He immediately fired 17 of 18 National Guard division generals when their divisions were called to active duty.

At 5:47, it shows a Flying Turns ride. In 2013, Knoebels in Pennsylvania built a new one from scratch, as all of the old ones are gone.

If it weren't for the Spanish American War of 1898, the US likely would have stayed neutral. That war was how the US acquired its territories in the Pacific that were attacked in 41.

Great Documentary! We always need to be prepared for War, and never underestimate our enemies, and especially those that claim to be our friends. Praying to God Almighty in the name of Jesus Christ to help save The United States of America against all enemies both foreign and Domestic!

One of FDR's sons or an aide; he's fiddling with a cane that's a prop. FDR will be carried by his helpers(gripping his upper arms) while "using" the cane. FDR had Polio and couldn't walk, but the Media weren't the vicious, mad dogs they are now, and they would NEVER undermine the President and call him "crippled." They knew that attacking the President would hurt the USA in the eyes of the rest of the world.
Today's Media is controlled by corporations that figure that making fun of the President makes other countries not see that the bloodthirsty weapons makers have the congress ignore the US citizen's health, finances and Infrastructure, etc., and think that the rest of the world is going to Hell, and Uncle Sam needs to send 'em more man-PAD missiles and tanks, 'cuz Terrorists are EVERYWHERE! !

He was Roosevelt's personal assistant. He would help the President around since Roosevelt had polio and used leg braces.

I’m watching this film I’m was born in 1944 ,January I never knew we were left so alone in Britain,My grandad fought in the battle of the SOMME,not a war really just plain slaughter, millions of young men drowning in mud Wow while the USA made films and music, and that man saying stay out of Europe it’s got nothing to do with us,,Now I know why I gave up on going to Sunday school and religion at about 8 years old,I was always more observant and older than my age,I watched as many in my WELSH town made a lot of money while men fought in bloody fields in France,GRANDAD couldn’t walk when he came home from standing in frozen mud trenches for months on end,he had been a regular soldier but many thousands were just BOYS** had never held a gun before,,,I can’t get it out of my head that the USA made musicals and danced while young lads lay in muddy fields calling for their MUMS or this mythical GOD to help them, there are a huge amount of different religions in the USS and fake pastors too,We have them in BRITAIN too it’s a an amazing money maker, you don’t need a church to be a decent human being,I do however believe there was a young man called JESUS born to an ordinary mother caller MARY and father called JOSEPH,I believe he was a true prophet,I also know he disapproves of the money making religions on earth now,He was angry like me and hated the hypocrisy when their time comes they will find out and the war makers,

He is incorrect. German U-Boats put plain clothes German troops on the West Coast. Japanese Troops occupied the U.S. Territory of Alaska.

Germany never operated in the Pacific theater. Alaska is not part of the Continental US, aka the lower 48. Jap troops only occupied two islands in the far southwestern Aleutians.

Hitler could have taken them. Why he didn't is one of the mysteries of WW2.
Hitler often stated that the British were "Nordic" like Germans. He also said he had respect for the British. Perhaps, his Generals convinced him that invasion was not worth the man power lost. Occupation would have entailed tying up thousands of troops with stiff resistance from the British home folks. Germany had few landing craft & the German Navy was small compared to their army. Foodstuffs & raw materials from Britain were small potatoes compared to what could be gained from other territories. End the end, it is my belief he changed his mind or was talked out of it. The effort was not worth the cost.

In reality it more the Russians than the Americans, because Hitler decided to invade them, and the Americans only got into the war because Germany declared war on them. And if the Germans would have won, how long do you think it would have been before they would have invaded America.
