I really liked the visors (accessories) that did not require helmet holes. But personally, I do not think helmet holes are the problem, rather it is the brow above the visor (part of the helmet) and below the mohawk (top part of the helmet).
I think the only thing with customs is that I want my figs to look like lego while some customs almost take away that lego feeling element and makes it look like something from a tine action figure.
Absolutely! Customs with 360 printing for example don’t blend well with official minifigures so I like to make sure the customs I have in my collection look similar to official LEGO
Agreed completely. That’s why I love brickarms weapons and accessories! They really Legofied these accessories to make Irl gear fit in with the minifig style
The one issue I have with the macros that require no holes is that they attach at the wrong area of the helmet. Visors and macros normally attach *above* the helmet bump, and seeing the macros attach at the bump sticks out like a sore thumb to me.

I actually really like the Lego Arc Trooper and don't think it looks weird, since the Arc Troopers in the show also have pointier chins than the regular ones.
I understand your reasoning. The arms of regular minifigures have 2 joints: the shoulder and the wrist. Droids only have 1 joint on the shoulder. For droids to have an equal number of joints as regular minifigs it would have to be an elbow joint since wrist joints would be impossible to make because of their skinny arms

You’re right, it doesn’t completely solve the problem, but as someone who makes custom clones pretty often, it has cut the problem in half. It doesn’t correct the range finder issue but there are ways to carve holes in the correct spots on the old helmets that fixes that problem
Now that I think of it, LEGO could have put the holes in on the regular helmet bumps and used the visors and macros from this video to completely eliminate the problem
I haven’t tried that yet but I think they would have to be molded a bit differently for those helmets. I wonder if Mandayaim will make macros specifically for those helmets at some point!

Good point, but then again as long as the piece stays connected does it matter if the connection point looks secure? I think the custom helmet accessories are something that should be pitched to Lego eventually. It’s a revolutionary design ngl.
I didn’t use it in this video but I do own the CAC wrecker helmet! I like the Lego helmet mold slightly more but that’s just personal preference. The CAC helmet might be more accurate to the show but doesn’t have the “Lego” feel imo

And about the base price without factoring in shipping, many of these products are not mass produced so the customs companies are forced to charge more or their business would fail. If paying more money for upgrades isn’t for you, that’s fine but there are many people who appreciate them and are willing to pay more for them to fix a problem

I bought 5 different macros from him and they all fit very well. You probably didn’t put it on correctly. Put it on top of the helmet bumps and it should click right in
@@countbertoslav6691 Oh, those ones would probably fit better if they were injection molded but since Mandayaim is still a small business, I assume he can't afford that since it's a very expensive process. CAC visors do the trick for now
AV makes great products but they don’t blend well with official minifigs so they’re not my cup of tea. I can still appreciate them for being extremely detailed though! I was also trying to appeal to a purist audience in this video and the best way to get them into customs imo is to introduce them to products that blend well with official minifigs. Maybe eventually they will explore more customs and discover AV!
My biggest thing is these custom troopers would be great to use in abundance for some stop motion battle but compared to other normal lego they stick out and it makes them sort of unnatural to use with normal lego

LEGO could do it faster since they have more resources but they still work on each set they make for many months (or maybe a year or two) before it comes out

The legs are the bigger problem but it’s harder to fix. Clone Army Customs made a new droid with separate leg joints so I might want to try that out
