  • Šalata is one of Zagreb's upper-class residential neighborhoods, developed mostly in the beginning of the 20th century - right next to the city center but wholly immersed in the rich greenery of the gentle Mount Medvednica's slopes. Part 1 of the video takes us along Stara Vlaška (Old Vlaška street), up the famous Schlosser stairs which lead to Sports Center Šalata and Hospital Complex Šalata, then down Novakova (Novak street), one of the first urban developments done entirely in the modernist style.

Thank you! Yes, Zagreb is really very green with lots of woods and parks. It has its problems like every city but I would say that Zagreb offers quite nice living space. :)

I had no idea that there is so beautiful place outside center of Zagreb. This video shows how few you see when you visit some other country. But I guess it's the same with everyone. Thanks for sharing

That's a long flight of stairs. So Zagreb is not a flat city, isn't it? Beautiful city and looks so peaceful there. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, northern parts of Zagreb (older areas) lie on slopes of the mountain, while newer parts are flat. So there are lots and lots of stairs in Zagreb. th-cam.com/video/U14OuVNeFDg/w-d-xo.html

And it was even nicer before the earthquakes. The only thing that I always disliked about Zagreb is the graffiti. I wonder if there is anything being done about this.

Yeah, Zagreb is full of graffiti but since many facades are sooo old no wander. We have some archeological layers of graffiti in Zagreb. 😆
