This actually pretty neat to use as a wireless boom mic with the DJI mic thanks to that smart cold shoe underneath the shock mount.
Very handy!!! Saves space when using both mics on your camera too.
Is it metal or plastic?
How do you rate the sound? Are you using something better?
0:01 right off the bat, sounds pretty harsh. maybe even clipping a skoch.
I probably could have used another person with headphones on, but I was by myself in Disney World, and also in front of the camera.
wait so if the battery is removable... does that mean it could run on continuous power...?

BEWARE: DO NOY BUY THIS MIC. I just did and now find you cannot get replacement cables. Aputure Deity do not answer messages about this mic. It is no longer even present on their website. Their customer service is truly terrible they do not care. If you lose a cable this mic is of no use as the cables are proprietary.
I’m sorry you’re dealing with that. I didn’t realize they were proprietary cables because I saw some third party 3.5mm to USB-C audio cables on Amazon? I wonder if they’d work?
And you are right about that; I don’t see it listed on their website anymore. I’m gonna reach out to the rep I talk to at Deity (super nice ppl by the way) and see why there are no more “mirrorless style” 3.5mm jack mics anymore. I only see the professional series, and the lavalier mics on their website (July 2024).

@@RayValencia Did they ever get back to you? I want to buy the Deity V Mic D4 locally. It is no longer on there website. It seems odd doesn't it? Because let's face it, if it was truly good and people were buying them up, they wouldn't silently "remove it" from there site. The whole situation seems weird. A lot of the D4 links from other TH-camrs direct you to some D4 DUO or D4 mini.
