    I really like Park City and went there 2 times in the 2022 season. I can’t blame the resort for the lack of snow. I didn’t have an issue with finding food. Maybe they had hired more people by the time I visited. I liked the mix of blacks and blue runs. I agree that it seems like a conglomeration of several resorts because that’s how it developed. The Canyons used to be a separate resort. I found the best way to ski Park City/Canyons was to ski one area one day, another the next, etc, and not try to get all around the mountain on one day. But I’m the kind of skier who will do one run over and over, focusing on technique rather than always trying to ski different runs each time. I like your videos. Thanks for doing them. And I appreciate your honest opinions.

    This ski resort review is the best I’ve ever seen on TH-cam. I’d love to see another!!! Whistler, Vail, Breckinridge, Alta…surprise us!

      Hey Wesley thanks so much for the feedback! If you haven't seen I do have a few others posted from this past season. Though this upcoming one I think my travel, while super exciting, might not be to ski resorts.

    PC local. You nailed pretty much everything. Not sure when you went but it sounds like after march 15 which is around when all the J1s leave so it's a disaster when it comes to staffing. Silverlode got rejected to be an 8 pack lol. The slow lifts severely need upgrades as dreamcatcher and thaynes are some of my favorite areas on the mountain. Great review man

    Nice review would like to see others. I liked cloud9, prospector, temptation, jonesy’s to flatiron, silver queen, seldom seen, claim jumper, copperhead, pipe dream, boogeyman, chicane, snowdancer, cascade and docs run. This was my third time ever skiing and we had a blast. I recommend not skipping leg days and expect to know how to ski well to enjoy what this resort has to offer more safely. Run traffic can get annoying at choke points making those areas more dangerous.

    Heading to Park City for a week in January. I found this video VERY informative. Thank you!

    Having skied there right alongside you (3/20 and 3/22), I can wholeheartedly agree with everything you say. The lack of food was an absolute joke, and your guess on staffing causing the closures was 100% correct (talked to several employees there). $250 for a day pass and they can't staff the place? Anyways thanks for your reviews, they're very enjoyable, informative, and give me something to do now that the season's over. Keep em up!

    One of the best ski resort review videos I've ever seen on TH-cam; thank you for posting this! I went to Park City last December and the experience was really bad; with only a few lifts and about 20 trails open I could only get 2-3 runs every hour because of the crowd. Snowbird/Alta and the powder mountain nearby are definitely worth checking out.

      Thanks so much! Ya there's a lot of mountains in the area to try.

    Great review, as it covered what skiers are looking for. I agree with basically all of your points about the resort. It is more of a conglomerate of average small resorts put together with many short runs, long catwalks, and requiring lots of traversing.

    You nailed this review. However what makes park city a top ten destination though is that it really checks all the boxes and the sheer size and ease to get there. I go there frequently because sometimes I don’t know what other people in my party really prioritize in their ski/snowboard vacation. It is not top 3 in anything, even town , but Park city was always that safe bet, at least precovid.

    i went here at the start of this year (2023) and i can still agree upon the food thing most of the places are just a cafeteria style place rebranded to seem different owned by vail who charges nearly 10 dollars for a cup of fries. but for me we had great snow and this definilty improved the experience and surprisingly there wants too much lift waiting

    Thank you for the Review. I'm skiing in Utah for the first time Jan 12-15, 2024. Brighton, Alta, Park City and possibly Snowbird. I would not pay the $270 for Park City other than the fact that my Golf partner just happened to book his ski vacation at the same time and will be staying there so I promised him I would ski circles around him. I have to back it up! I have relatives in Salt Lake area, Draper. My plan is to have a big breakfast and ski the whole day and not worry about food that much. If I'm paying Disney prices for the day then I'm going to ski the whole time. Can't wait to hit it!

      @@chrisrambosit was fricken awesome. Fresh powder like crazy. Other than the time it took to actually get on the first lift it was the best skiing of my life. Should have gotten there earlier but still had lots of time and got dozens of runs in. It was literally a snowstorm while we were on the mountain so people left early. I’m calling Park City the Disney World of skiing. I’m going back next year for sure.

    Don’t live there, but have been to Park City quite a few times.
    The only lodge you probably missed out on would be Cloud Dine, probably the only good place on mountain to get food IMO.
    Also, yes, almost all of the runs in “The Colony” (the big housing area in Canyons) are just catwalks to get across the mountain, but the few of those runs you take off of peak 5 down to Tombstone were actually much more enjoyable, normal runs that just had a more unique atmosphere while you get to pretty much just explore a neighborhood. One run off there I really enjoyed was “Crowning Glory.”
    Silverlode’s upgrade was shut down by NIMBY’s :[
    Are you planning on making more of these this season?

    • @RonnieBunshaft
      @RonnieBunshaft  ปีที่แล้ว

      I recall seeing Cloud Dine but it was closed unfortunately. If I end up at a major ski mountain this year I'll make another but I have some other major travel lined up this season that might mean I can't. Though I'll make videos about that too, as I'm planning to travel to both Antarctica and the Middle East in the first quarter of 2023.

    I did look it up 800 million in profit? LOL

    • @RonnieBunshaft
      @RonnieBunshaft  ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually since you mention this it is worth a clarification. I learned after posting that the number I quoted was "gross profit" rather than "net income". But I stand by the point. We can see now a season later that net income for 2022(while I was there shooting this) was 348 million. I think they could have hired a few more people.
