Auschwitz-Birkenau is also reachable by bus 17 (disembark at Brzezinka Kościół (Church); it's more closer to parking than main gate, that's why a non-MZK (a local public transport agency in Oświęcim) free shuttle bus is recommended).
I think, that you travelled here due to 80th anniversary of liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp. It's very strict and popular place, so that even a minor damage to concentration camp is equal to holocaust denial, which, in Poland, may result for a 3 years' arrest sentence and hence why it's in UNESCO Heritage List.
It's PESA Elf, also used in other regions (notably Warsaw Suburban Railway). I think it's faster and more direct to use SKA2 than SKA3. SKA3 is more useful in case of destination like Krzeszowice. Also, I would prefer SKA2 than SKA3 due to the fact it passes Energylandia Amusement Park, one of largest in Poland and Europe.
1. The first train you saw on the platform in Krakow Glowny (train SKA2, departing 10.33) was actually also heading to Oswiecim but via a different route than the train you chose (SKA3). 2. You could NOT have purchased a ticket for the train you used via PKP Intercity website. This is because PKP Intercity website does not sell tickets for trains operated by other train operators and you went with a train operated by Koleje Malopolskie, a regional train operator in the Lesser Poland region and not with PKP Intercity. You probably did not have a valid ticket for your onward journey:) 3. There are 43 daily trains between Krakow and Oswiecim with three train operators: PKP Intercity, Koleje Malopolskie and Polregio. The last two operators are the cheapest. 4. Between Krakow Glowny and Oswiecim there is a train stop "Zator Park Rozrywki" (except on SKA2 route). This is the stop for the best amusement park, certainly in Poland and most probably in entire Europe, and one of the leading attractions in Poland. Highly recommended.
Witamy ciekawie , no i ku pamięci ofiar ❤🕯🕯
Your trip has made me interested in going to Auschwitz. I'm ashamed to say I've never been there.

I drove this route 1 and a half years ago 😄😄😄
И в Кракове был в замке Короля и Королевы, а так посещал Освенцым😢... Светлая память павшим в этой ужасной войне!!!

By far largest in Europe with tallest and fastest roller-coaster Hyperion.
NICE VIDEO, TOM FROM HUNGARY 🙏🙏🙏❤🤍💚
Thank you!
Hungarian Jews were the main group of people exterminated in Auschwitz; about 450000 killed in 1944.

Thanks for the corrections and for the useful information.
@@RailwaylineT You are welcome. All the best in travelling!
It's Energylandia in Zator. They have few mascots - among them is e.g. rabbit and dragon.
Oh god, Zator Park. XD
Still no.1 in entire Europe. Hyperion is the fastest and tallest roller-coaster and Zadra biggest wooden coaster.
Dobrý den, jakou kamerou točite ? Děkuji za odpověď
Xiaomi 13T Pro / GoPro Hero10 Black
Vlaky vypadají pohodlně. A Osvětim musí být zvláštní zážitek.
The title is so wrong 😂 (and am Jewish 😂)
It's not up to me. As you can see artificial intelligence is not that advanced in translations.
Why wrong? The title is written correctly in Polish. Train Kraków ...Oświęcim. Access to Auschwitz.
@@RailwaylineT I’m joking 🙃 it’s all right
