I play WelleDAD but completely cut the zombie engine and instead opted to play push spells like Instant Fusion. I even have "The Beginning of The End" in the deck because it was consistently live enough for me to warrant keeping it in and a "draw 3" is actually cracked beyond cracked in Edison. Then I tech a copy of Scapegoat for defense and synchro pushes with a tech Lightning Vortex to out floodgate boards in game 1.
Im a huge fan of this deck, but I do find it to have some issues. It runs out of gas really fast, so if your opponent is playing a deck that can trade well, then you just get out resourced. But if there are any cracks, you can easily break a board and do 8100.
I would suggest gold sarc, because the hands that you don't have DAD are faaaar worse than the hands when you do.
I love watching old-school deck profiles since I only started playing in 2018 and I've only ever seen modern ones

A few side deck cards I recommend are D.D. Crow to deal with graveyard heavy decks and royal decree for trap heavy line ups.
I completely agree with the Upstarts. This deck can do so much damage so quickly that 1 or 2K extra doesn't matter. Great list.

Dope list! I think mine is almost identical without the 3 upstarts and +1 dustshoot and 2 other traps in the main. I agree with upstart but I feel like the traps essentially do the same thing by removing a monster(s) and get you to your next draw that way.
Traps are definitely strong in this deck I find the gameplan to be more consistent with upstarts but I do miss traps at times

Been running 5 Krebons for my past 3 locals... needless to say i havent lost a match yet. Some people are getting kind of suspicious and asking for a deck list, would you reccomend me cutting krebons to 4? or leaving him as is. Super broken this format

How do you make goyo, if you need an earth tuner which the deck doesn't run?
The original text of goyo guardian which is used for Edison format doesn’t require an earth tuner to summon it. The original version is a much better card!
Tragodiea over gorz. Reason: you run level 2, 3, 4, and 6. The possibility of stealing your opponent's monster is still high.
Trag is deff a strong choice, i tend to prefer the upside of gorz over trag. But i can see making the switch. Thanks for supporting the channel!

welle-dad is just a play on the original tele-dad deck name, in reference to the card telekinetic power well
I suggest dropping a krebons and sangan. Sangan seems slow and three krebons might be an overkill when it’s already so crazy searchable with teleport and tomato. Maybe drop gorz. All to try some combo of fiendish chain and trunade simply because caius ruins this deck. Wish Veiler was in the format but that tomato search is so important that chain seems viable. I don’t play this deck but would like to see some gameplay
Definitely some good ideas! I agree sangan and krebon could be cut, I like the high upside of gorz in decks like this but the fiendish chain idea seems like a solid thought worth a try for sure
