I saw her concert last week with my teenage kids at the Ace Theater. It was packed and she seems to have a lot of loving fans. I was kind of annoyed at the sttart that they were singing with her but in the end I was doing the sing along too. She literally does not have any bad song. I’m so happy my kids introduced me to her music and it’s amazing I don’t get tired of listening to her playlist on a loop. She has a magnetic personality, very beautiful, super talented, with a unique voice and looks pure, that’s why a lot of people gravitate towards her and her music.

This might be the first TH-cam comment I've ever made, but I just have to say how much I adore Laufey's creative chord choices and dreamy melodies. I feel like chord progressions in other music genres can't come close to the emotions that jazz music can portray. I've always been a fan of the older jazz, but I am loving how Laufey is giving us contemporary lyrics and concepts with classic jazz themes at the same time. Her music imo is like the perfect reincarnation of Jazz and Classical music. Majority of people don't listen to either genre but I think this style and combination of the two can bring it back, symphonies especially are criminally underrated and I think have the most beautiful tones, timbre, and overall sound that any music has to offer, so full yet so delicate. This song heavily consists of classical inspiration like the orchestration reminds me of Amore Mio Aiutami by Piero Piccioni and/or maybe Rachmaninov. Definitely less Jazz orientated like "From the Start".

Laufey is simply, in another vein, the "clearest" the emotionally clearest person I have ever experienced, and she entertains us as well. There is no spiritual master who comes close to transmitting an emotional sense of love the way she does, of course their forte might be more in the meditative sphere, but it comes down to the same thing: being in the moment as the Buddhists say, "being here now" as Ram Das said, without our past experiences and pains distorting our feelings. Most everybody brings our past thoughts with them when they speak, maybe our minds our ticking with all kinds of subconscious thoughts, feelings and such that color our communication or words. But Laufey is simply expressing an emotion in the moment without the baggage of distortions brought about by such confusion. Everytime I hear her sing I start to cry. I can't help it.

I have listened some of her songsand I've been mesmerized by her voice. I'm glad the producers keep guiding her to this path, seems like a singer from the 50's, 60's and this is something so rare these days. Proof good music never dies, only evolves.

Her music imo is like the perfect reincarnation of Jazz and Classical music. Majority of people don't listen to either genre but I think this style and combination of the two can bring it back, symphonies especially are criminally underrated and I think have the most beautiful tones, timbre, and overall sound that any music has to offer, so full yet so delicate. This song heavily consists of classical inspiration like the orchestration reminds me of Amore Mio Aiutami by Piero Piccioni and/or maybe Rachmaninov. Definitely less Jazz orientated like "From the Start".
Also I should include I think her jazz elements sometimes remind me of the genre, Bossa Nova.

Laufey is simply, in another vein, the "clearest" the emotionally clearest person I have ever experienced, and she entertains us as well. There is no spiritual master who comes close to transmitting an emotional sense of love the way she does, of course their forte might be more in the meditative sphere, but it comes down to the same thing: being in the moment as the Buddhists say, "being here now" as Ram Das said, without our past experiences and pains distorting our feelings. Most everybody brings our past thoughts with them when they speak, maybe our minds our ticking with all kinds of subconscious thoughts, feelings and such that color our communication or words. But Laufey is simply expressing an emotion in the moment without the baggage of distortions brought about by such confusion. Everytime I hear her sing I start to cry. I can't help it.
