Lovely. I have memories similar, but not many. My parents moved us halfway across the US when I was 5 so I didn't get to spend much time with my grandparents. But I treasure the few memories I do have.

Sorry to hear your day is rather "wobbly" 😊.
Thank goodness for those lovely aunts. I had the, not nice, grandmother and the absolutely wonderful Nana. Grandparents are very Important, I agree.
I am thinking that you are the absolutely lovely grandmother for your lucky grandchildren ❤
I hope your day tomorrow works out to be a day filled with sunshine and laughter.

Lovely to wake up to this just now! How lucky we are to have had the two lovely grandmothers…even though we didn’t see the ‘nice’ one. The aunts, especially one did take on a special role, for years and became quite a legend to all her nieces and nephews! We have 13 grandchildren and two more we don’t see sadly. I know I, we are very loved, don’t see as much of them now as they get on and live their lives, as they should. Two live in NZ, 2 in Perth and 1 in Darwin. This Christmas the Nz ones come over and it’s wonderful. A big Christmas! And today will be a good a day. I’ve had the best sleep for years, the sun is shining and there’s a blackbird singing outside the door! Thankyou again and you too have a good day/night 🙏🏻❤️

@theriverberrypoet my goodness you have alot of grandchildren! I have 3.
2 live in England and I saw them for the first time (in person) 2 Christmas's ago.
Our other grandchildren lives 15 minutes away. Thank goodness we have 1 nearby.
I'm so happy to hear you have finally had a good sleep! What a difference sleep makes for the next day!
Looking forward to your next video 🙂

This was an interesting waffle as I started the day, your empathetic nature is evident in your storytelling. The soul that lives on in you far outweighs the loveliest of homes. 💖🌞✨

@@theriverberrypoet I agree it's far easier to dismiss those who are not as we had wished, rather than accept them as they are. I'm glad you were able to reconcile the explanation for the distance in the relationship inside yourself. I hope more people can do the same with their sense of lack. God bless you all your days Ms. RiverBerry 🌞✨

Funny, I had a lovely Nan and a not so nice one, I was a little afraid of her, she reminded me of queen Victoria…my lovely Nan was deserted by my grandfather
and even though I have some photos of me with the other one I really don’t remember him…
The lovely one lived with us and she really took on the mothering role…she passed when I was 14 and looking back I never appreciated her…
I would like to go back and do it properly, be more appreciative of what she did for the four of us…

@@LorraineYork How lovely to have had the lovely Nan living with you…even if you did take her for granted…that’s what kids do. She would have known how much she was loved I have no doubt. My grandfather of my ‘witchy’ grandmother died before I was born and I’ve always felt he was the nice one?! My other was lovely but didn’t see him as they lived so far away. Thankyou for sharing!🙏🏻❤️
