Lovely tip. I'm off for a hammock camp tonight in the Pentland Hills, so will try it out then. I just stumble across your channel today, and loving it so far. Thanks for the content. :)
@@farakanna It went really well, despite it bucketing it down. The next day was glorious, however, and so I got plenty of miles in and even managed to visit one of the iron-age hill forts I've been wanting to see. I'm off out again tonight, off to the Pentlands once more, but a different hill and a different hill-fort this time. This time, I've been taking your tip about using bowlines and toggles to attach your guylines to your tarp. Thanks for all the tips, as long as I've been doing this you can always learn and try something new. :)
Forget the timber hitch, use a taught line hitch or a trucker's hitch and you can tighten your line up super quick without needing a carabiner. Besides, a timberhitch is not the best for setting up a guyline.
I typically use a taught line or timber hutch on the guylines. The timber hitch was solely for the purpose of showing this little carabiner trick. Good shout on the truckers though bud ✌️🌳
Brilliant!!! Was just cursing my old fingers 🤦
Great little tip. Keep them coming 🤙🏻

Awesome trick, thank you sir! Subbed
Neat little tip if you are just fed up with knots and just want to be done for the day.
Thanks for sharing this tip (works nice)
Excellent stuff, especially for a tarp virgin like myself! 😂✌️
Apologies for the poor quality of the first half of the video. The lense kept getting soaked in the rain ✌️🌳
Thanks, man!
Thanks for watching dude ✌️🌳
Nice one man 👌
Cheers buddy ✌️🌳

@@farakanna Yea, no problem. I use to use carabiners all the time and then once I began to learn a ton of knots, I never needed them anymore.
Great little tip. Keep them coming 🤙🏻
