Thank you so very much. I can’t tell you how many videos I’ve been looking through to find exactly what your teaching. I’m making my nephews a gnome & little animals chess set. I had originally picked out what little characters would represent each piece but they were all so cute that I couldn’t decide which ones to give them. So I decided to make a grandstand to keep the rest of the figurines to watch & cheer for them as they play, this way they can pick & choose & I can personalize each stand with signs that have their names 😊 You have such a pleasant voice & explain everything so very well. It takes me back to when I used to help my Dad & Grandpa back in the day building all kinds of things. Thank you for your great advice & bringing back some wonderful memories for me. My nephews are going to love this 🥰🥰

I can’t believe I stuck around for the whole hour lol. Looks great. You can use wedding veil for chain link and it’s more in scale. But it still looks good.

@@BoonesSlotCarGarage I'm building my track in my head right now, the ARC PRO is still in the box, some additional items ordered....but, I'm starting my plan with pit road so that there will be 6 actual pit stalls. Of course track etiquette will be required but if you miss your pitbox, see ya next lap!
@@drewherbert4835 I spent some time building my layout in my head.... think I had around 5 different varieties,,,, my final design only has a few things that my brain thought up.... hahaha

Thanks Dennis.... one of the main reasons behind choosing Scalextric was due to space and I liked the assortment of track that Scalextric has over Carrera. The tightest corner for a Carrera is a R2 in Scalextric... I enjoy the R1 curve, it just adds a little bit more of a challenge. Another reason had to do with the material that Scalextric track is made from. It is softer and more versatile when it comes to manipulating the track for elevation changes. But I do like the Carrera track as well. And I feel that the assortment of digital lane change track is better with Carrera. Plus Carrera has a locking system for the track so it stays together tighter than that of Scalextric. The next layout I build might just be with Carrera. I have been working on a idea to take the things I like about Scalextric and adapting it to Carrera. I won’t be able to change the footprint that Carrera has , but the corners and elevation is what I have been figuring out....
The figures I have are all vintage from the 1960’s , only place I know to find these are on eBay.... there are newer figures on the market that can be purchased from hobby shops or online
There are a few videos out on TH-cam about painting figures, it all comes down to how detailed you want to get. The guys that are building war time dioramas have quite a few videos covering figure painting
