Boone! We need stuff!!!! 🥲
Just started watching your vids, absolutely brilliant. The work you put in is magnificent, avid watcher here in the UK
@@grahamrangeley3853 thank you .. if you have any questions please let me know
Really is amazing work, takes a lot of patience and planning I would imagine, inspiring
@@1987MattyT thankyou
Absolutely excellent! Thank you! I’m off to decorate my track.
GOOD JOB BOONE.
@@carlo6230 thank you
Looking great. Welcome back Boone!!!!!!!
@@joshbennett7367 thanks Josh
To be honest. Your videos are the first I started watching. Wanted to get into slot cars but it’s a lot more expensive than hot wheels so I stuck with diecast. You have such inspiration and heart when you build. I’ve started making buildings for my diecast and even made a few dioramas for my kids to use in their D&D games. Please keep up the amazing work and inspiring the minds of others.
@@joshbennett7367 thank you . There are ways to get into slots without a large investment. That actually would be a good video to do . 😆.... used is the best way to do this . It takes a bit of work hunting around but it can be done . This is actually the way I started out in the hobby
@@BoonesSlotCarGarage thank you for the advice. Never thought about that.
@@joshbennett7367 ebay can get a little spendy sometimes. But it's worth looking at . I found my first set on a local area marketplace sight . Not only did it come with lots of track but also many cars to get me started . From there I was able to add track to make my first layout.

He's back. Yay! I've been worried that life had lived you. Glad to see you back and hope all is well. You've been missed mate. 👍

This garage is looking really good! I tried using this method, but it seems to be too humid here along the Gulf Coast for the plaster to set up properly. I waited over a week until the top was hard set. When I removed the forms, the bottom layer slowly oozed out. Instead, I’m using Luan material that I get free from work. It cuts easily enough with a utility knife. I’m texturing it with drywall compound. You’ve inspired multiple scratch builds for my daughters and me. Keep up the awesome work!
@@wjspade interesting about the plaster ... but thank you very much... we took a trip down to Port A a couple weeks ago ... loved it
Nice :)

How much stink it makes? Does it be dangerous for lungs? Protection or not, I can't leave polyurethane foam degassing in my house
@@mattiapresti7295 it's not that bad . But I'm also a professional aircraft painter so my sniffer isn't as sensitive as most people... lol

FINALLY! ANOTHER THING I'M SEARCHING FOR LONG! I have a Polistil track, pilons for parabolic curves and bridge got lost long ago, why don't pass directly to polyuretanic foam? Will be harder to storage until there's no diorama, but inspires me more than plastic pilons that I should 3d print, in order to have them as spares as Polistil closed more than 20 years ago
@@mattiapresti7295 thankyou

Is their anyway that you do this for H/o scale track.?
@@KarynJacobson yes there is , I have a video in my HO section that covers some of that

@@KarynJacobson 😂
Is that foam suitable to build supports for the track (banking turns, bridges) ?
@@mattiapresti7295 the spray foam can be used like that and so can the polystyrene foam. The polystyrene is going to give you more support. The spray foam is a little messy to use in that matter because of the chemical properties that it has . There is a glue type of residue that can be quite a pain. And the control factor is an issue as well, it just like to grow bigger than expected most times 😂
How about a lake with a campgrounnd and a bunch of people Tailgating on raceday like we do in Wisconsin.
@@KarynJacobson that’s a good idea 👍
Would this work with Lifelike track? I hope that it does.
Road America area you must be from Wisconsin. That,s extaly the type of track I want to build in my basement when we get it fixed up that os 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Really awesome job and video! This was superb! Thanks for sharing!!
@@TheRolfano thank you
When you go to bend them after you cut use a heat gun to soften track and use a wooden rolling pin , roll up and down pushing gently you get a perfect curve
@@dustybwarf thanks buddy, yes a few improvements have been made to this technique since I filmed this video 😂
few protruding small nails in the pine frame so when the pour took place it hardens over the nails helping secure ?
@@druidceltic777 that might work
hey good to see you back mate hope all is well your buddy in australia 👍
@@druidceltic777 thanks Mate
to get your c clamps back and save weight, just drill a hole and use like a dowel pin.
@@brucemullison5346 I prefer something I know won’t fail . Under this layout was my wife’s Mercedes Benz when it would be stored. I think I would rather have faith in a steal c clamp then a wooden dowel 😂kinda life insurance
for clamping, maybe use clothes pins?
@@brucemullison5346 you could, but sometimes the pins don’t provide enough strength to hold it in place
You could also use hay coloured flock and mix into you plaster mix for a bit of realism
@@Fcu-t4g that might work

I took several of your ideas for bending the track. I feel I’ve come up with an easier stronger way to loosen up track for this. I’d love to send you photos and get your opinion. What do you think ?
