Can someone please explain to me the wall combo at 1:09? Whenever I put someone on the wall pre-tornado and then do ecd1, they go up barely above the ground level. Then after EWHF they immediately slide down and 1, db223 doesn't connect at all. What's the secret?

A higher wall splat. Plus you have to save your tornado until after the wall splat
