I know you’re done wallpapering in this room now, but a tip for the future… paint first where your seams will be in a color matching the background so that if the wallpaper experiences any shrinking or it’s not matched absolutely perfectly, it’s just the matching paint underneath that will show rather than a bright white. Thanks for the tip! We would have approached this with wallpaper beneath the molding to have cleaner edges and excess paper for shrinkage, but our initial idea was to use fabric so we hadn’t prepped that way. Next time we will definitely plan ahead 😅

Please enjoy every minute with your grandmother. We had to bury my grandmother last Friday. I had the privilege of having grandparents for almost 60 years. I was able to learn a lot from them. I miss you very much.

My children's great great uncle was a shingle maker in the Shingletown area of Nor Cal. After 6 months in the woods he was reported as Big Foot. He was over 6 foot tall and very hairy. (Ian is too young to have seen him though as he passed in 1984). Nice to see the nursery and your little vacation with Charlie and Grandmere'.

Good quality wallpaper shouldn’t shrink. This wallpaper I believe is a William Morris design called pimpernel. Quality wallpaper.
