I wonder when Northern and other operators of the types will be in a position to replace the 150s. It's about time a programme was devised, otherwise the number of DMUs from the 80s and 90s needing to be replaced could become unmanageable.
The issue is that nobody wants to buy a fleet of new DMUs when we are trying to reach net zero. Bionic duckweed and other alternative fuels are not yet credible.
