- We're extremely grateful to have this many Koenig Specials Mercedes in our collection, but we have so many cars that we don't always get to drive them. We finally scheduled a short rideout with the two Koenig 560 SEC convertibles, the Koenig R129, and the red 560 SEC coupe. Unfortunately it was a very hot day and the r129 overheated so we had to end the ride a little early. Regardless, it was an awesome opportunity to get these Koenigs on the street and do something that hasn't been seen in the last few decades.

I just replaced the radiator on my R129 this weekend. I opted for the CSF and it fit perfectly and was a breeze to swap. The factory one was starting to leak up top on the plastic tank so it had to go. I love driving this thing and use it as a daily. Over 2 years and 30k miles later, I’m still in love.

Love these cars. 80’s Benzes are what made me fall in love as a kid. The 124’s, 126’s and 107’s were my dream cars back then and still are, and the 129’s a little later. Grateful to have a 117 and 211 to choose from right now, but something from the 80’s is definitely a goal.
I don’t think I’ve ever commented more on a channel than this. I’m in absolute heaven and want to know everything about these cars.

Incredible! Such a privilege to see. Some of the cars are screaming out to be turned back to original spec though. No white lenses (orange only) Koenig wheels needed on the R129, factory finish on the wheels needed for the red SEC also. Period correct is everything so hope to see some of that originality returning in the future 👍

Yeah Any Benz that came from a hot countries is basically bulletproof my W123 runs at 175 F on hot days
They run flawless
I have a bit of experience with old 80s to 2000s mercs, best thing to do in hot climates is either swapping the thermostat to a lower pressure one called "tropical thermostat" or just take ot the thermostat completely so you have it cycling the big coolant circle all the time it's a common thing they do in hot country's like UAE etc.. and only use mercedes blue coolant ment for these engines diluting it with distilled water 1 to 3

Hey, the cars should still be able to deal with the FL weather. After all the original cars are tested in deserts etc. you can definitely get them to work fine in FL conditions guys. If you can't, I have a specialist for these cars I could introduce you to. He's from Germany though. Love what you are doing and can't wait to visit next time I'm in FL. Regards ❤

In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN laws)!!!!
