Yeah, they ruined the App breed by allowing non-colored to be registered and shown in App shows...it is the whole point of the breed. Snowcaps and few spots will produce color...point being you can breed intelligently for color. Non-colored can do 4-h or what have you they should not be discarded. I have background in POA and they have surpassed apps in quality, disposition and color, in my opinion, by a wide margin over the years, which is saying a lot since they are ponies.
Back in the 70's there were so many super cool-color, nice looking, nicely conformed Appy's - what happened to them?

Nice young horses. I would like to see a bit more color though in some of them. My first horse was a bay mare w/ snowflakes. 50 years later, my last horse was a leopard gelding.

They are losing spots by breeding too much QH and TB into them...soon the AHC will be like the APHA....Quarter horses with barely enough spots to get them registered

At least they don't have the horrible head set that AQHA has. Don't care for the solid color.But had Appaloosas back in the seventies.
