I’m 66. I rode that carousel when I was a child at Olympic Park in Maplewood/Irvington NJ. It’s just not the same without the old carousel organ playing.
I really hope to go there someday before I die! I’ve been wanting to go to Disney world ever since I was little! I want to ride the carousel first before anything.
Disney is really on everyone's bucketlist. I hope you get to visit soon. There's so many new rides coming out as well that you definitely don't want to miss such as Tron opening up next month.

I grew up in Irvington and rode it at Olympic Park also. What happened to the organ? It looked European, as I recall.

Go to Knoebels in Elysburg PA if you want the real thrill of riding an original carousel complete with 100 year old organ and a ring catch machine!
This carousel was actually built in 1917 and is far older than anything in any of the Disney parks.
