That’s a beautiful finish but the seams between the guards and the centre section below the headlight scoops are supposed to be leaded on the S2 cars. Also the bonnet wiring is going to be very difficult to fit with the scoops already installed, but overall a great job. ❤
Amazing job as always guys, the attention to detail really shows in the completed job when the shell was outside on the pallets you could see just how straight and snooker table flat those panels are👌 I really don't know how you earn a living doing these classic restorations you must charge by the hour rather than a set price to complete the project as it takes hours and hours to repair and replace bodywork then all the prep before painting so how would you do an accurate quote🤯 Anyway the old Jag looks superb Gavin👏👍
Hi John, Thankyou for the kind words. Yes, it’s a very hard part of the job trying to estimate how many hours are needed. It’s just something that gets easier with experience!
Greetings, colleague. Excellent, tremendous work. It is clear that you have a lot of experience, it is evident in the result. In this video I see that you used durablock or rubber sanding blocks and Velcro blocks. I have seen the trend in recent months of using rigid polyurethane blocks or something like that to achieve a better finish and not leave imperfections in the sanding of the filler and the primer. What do you think about that? It all depends on the hand of the person sanding and a good sandpaper???
The application filler is present in pretty much all restos nowadays. The problem is when it is applied inches thick, not as this has been used as a panel level, which will be hardly any thickness at all and it part of modern restoration and class winning customs.
Never was anywhere as good as that when it left the factory

Hi, thankyou for your kind words.
In all of our videos we are using pinky’s dust free sanding blocks, take a look at our website www.pinkysblox.com

Lots of filler on this E type. 😢
Looks like the car needed it, the endresult however is impressive.
They all need a bit
But done properly it isn't a problem

It's a hand built body. They all need minor work!
