The i8 has memory seats, but you don't know how to use them. They work by the remote (each remote is like a user), if you and you fiancé share one remote it will eventually not work. And that is even used for memory radio channels to.
Hi Chris, great video introducing the virtue of i8. Regarding seat and mirror position memory function, you can go to Setting - Profile menu in vehicle control screen and save up to 3 positions + 1 guest position. I know it is not as intuitive as having 3 buttons like Mercedes (and other cars) but still there exists memory feature. Hope this helps and safe driving!

The thing with the memory seat is that, it save your last position into one key, so to have a different seat memory position you have to use another key and close the door. 👍👍👍 nice garage tho'

Hi Chris, Thanks for your video. The reduced drag due to the air curtain around the front wheel arch to reduce aerodynamic drag - is a great feature - which I was unaware of. Thanks fro bringing it to our attention. We drive a BMW i3 REx Range Extender - which is another great car - with one pedal driving and fantastic regenerative braking. She just loves steep twisty hilly roads - the more twisty and steeper the hills the better - a true nimble "mountain goat" - who is really a gazelle in instantaneous max torque and instantaneous acceleration straight off the line. Although she doesn't attract so much attention as your white i8 (we chose the dark Laurus Grey color) - she can leave most cars standing - should we choose to do so. Keep the videos coming. Maybe one day - we'll use our Hero to create 10 minute You Tube video about our little Carbon Tub. She delivers so much fun and power as we are silently wafted around - in total comfort!

Great real-owner test! Especially your remark about the attention is finally a clear yes/no for other potential buyers. I actually wait for the convertible variant since 2013 and I just heard that it will go into production later in 2016. I agree with your disappointment about the seat memory. As far I remember this is an option for German car buyers and maybe BMW just forget it to add it into your car. A typical BMW seat memory option has several marked keys which changes the settings of seats, mirrors, air condition and audio system when unlocking the car. On the other hand, no seat memory option is mentioned in the current owner's manual (I downloaded as PDF), so maybe this option is dropped or really not available in USA. Hopefully it is coming in future.
so basically the car that has 80% less storage than tesla is less ECO-friendly has 3 times less power than tesla (not as quick as tesla) and does not support super chargers.. is also 2 times less safe and more expencive. kinda looks bit cooler tho :D oh right and it also doesn't support summon, auto-pilot, auto-steer, auto-park and doesnt have amazing screen inside xD.. nice :D

I think to get the memory seats, steering wheel, etc. you must use one set of keys, save your settings. And your wife uses the other set of keys and save her settings and it should go to those settings automatically. Down to the radio presets and hvac settings LOL. So maybe read the manual and see what you need to do to get the "memory" feature to work properly. Like the unbiased video. Love the i8! Awesome man. But I think it does have the memory seats. Normally it's set by what key you're using, so if you and your wife are using the same key, it'll switch to whatever is set. Not saying that's 100% the case, but that's how my CTS is set up :)
Actually the slit also use the rims of the wheels for continuous air flow towards the back. The rims were designed almost like fans to allow the airflow to go out through the back tail lights.

Your Video on the i8 was very through. The best one yet I think. I think what would have topped it would have demonstrating the jerky move it makes when transferring from one transmission to another. I also found it hard to get in and out it. It redefines the way we enter cars
