- I now understand why Dimash Idolizes Lara Fabian. She has such a wonderful and powerful voice, it's mesmerizing. This song is about a deep yearning for some type of connection, and she portrays it perfectly. Lara Fabian is one of the greats.

She wrote (lyrics) the italian version and co-wrote the english version on top of a pop translation of a ww famous classic masterpiece.

Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly".
This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace.
The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and gave his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself.
The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music compositions, mostly operatic, and different lyrics (the band Renaissance, Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance).
But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version: it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in italian then co-wrote the english lyrics for it and is the original performer of these 2 versions.
She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration.
This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Julie Anne San Jose, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , …
They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love.

Actually it’s much older than this, The piece "Adagio" that was played by Hauser is actually a composition for violin and orchestra by the Italian composer Tomaso Albinoni. Although, it should be noted that the piece famously known as "Adagio in G minor" was actually reconstructed and popularized by the 20th-century musicologist and Albinoni biographer Remo Giazotto. Giazotto claimed to have discovered a fragment of Albinoni's work and then filled in the missing parts to create the piece that we know today.

I'm a dear of Dimash and i appreciate and respect Lara in particular because is a very good friend of Dimash and she appreciate,respect,support,and love Dimash,and is the same for Dimash towards Lara,and Lara call Dimash "The cosmic boy"..The Adagio of Lara is very good but don't make me emotional and don't touch me,while the version of Dimash of I'm singer 2017 overwhelms me in a vortex of intense emotions and every time makes me cry like a baby..In my opinion the epic,heartwarming,exceptional,and historic version of Dimash is the best Adagio of the history and is in first place by detachment..In second place there is Adagio sung by Lara..While the version of Floor is not classified and don't deserve attentions because is not live,is in studio and is clearly playback/lipsinc,and is an imitation of Lara,and i don't like who imitate other singers because who imitate has no skills and no originality..The Boss King Angel Dimash Forever

You MUST react to it. She heard about it and called him up the next day. She fell in love with him (not romantically, whatever Dimash may have wished!) and cowrote a song for Dimash: Your Love. (Yes, it's fantastic.) The cowriter was... Igor Krutoy. Igor has written or cowritten (with Lara) some of Lara's biggest songs; Dimash has covered a half dozen of them. Lara and Dimash and Aida (an opera singer who is absolutely their equal) sang together in a breathtaking performance of a song composed by... Igor (who of course plays the piano in their stunning performance, which was part of a little thing he put on for his 65th birthday.)
