This has given me much to think about. To separate the feeling from the memory of all the abuse. I will talk to God about it. 🌺

She’s has published several books that are available on amazon. They’re great. I highly recommend them. It’s no substitute for hearing it straight from the lovely woman herself but certainly worth buying.

How much wisdom can be simply and unpretentiously crammed into a tiny space of time? I need to relisten because there was so much in here, so directly and cleanly stated. PLEASE more interviews with Mother Katherine.

Fascinating .... Her approach from the holistic side is inspiring. Her empathy a grandeur. And the usage of the vast knowledge of the Elders is intriguing. Thus sister has done her homework. Perhaps the best clip yet good Dr. I learned so much ... God Bless her, her work, and you for bringing us a glimpse into a truly fascinating subject.

Nun Katherine Weston ... I passed it on to my good friend Dr. Torres who is also in your field in Victoria, Texas. He too is a Christian. He found it fascinating as well and spot on in context. He is not Orthodox so the portion talking of the desert fathers truly intrigued him. He said he had much research to do. So thank you from him for inspiration to dig deeper, ( His Words) ... I look forward to hearing, and learning more. God Bless you sister.

What a blessing to hear this wisdom in such an accessible way. I have on my 'to read' list "Carl Jung and Maximus the Confessor on Psychic development" because I find this connection between the wisdom of the faith and psychology fascinating, but also because of my job as a social worker. We are so blessed to have people like Mother Katherine to help highlight those connections.

I would like to see more of a standard interview format, with the back and forth of question and answer. I realize there are reasons to do it the way you do, and this certainly has value, so this isn’t a criticism. Just telling what would be even better from my point of view.

I've been grappling with the ambiguity in psychotherapy which understands (correctly!) that we are fallen creatures and therefore both our souls and bodies are damaged. But then there is also a reference to the "mind" or "psyche". Is this some other 'thing' or is it part of the soul or part of our body?
I always thought that "psyche" MEANS "soul" in Greek. Does anyone else out there think the vocabulary of Christian psychotherapy is a bit muddled? Any thoughts?

@@nunkatherineweston Would it be able to create a video about cluster B personality disorders focussing on the dark triad narcissists, psychopaths and the like. Are they demon possessed or influenced? How to deal with these people if they are your family or a spouse since they are capable of inflicting major damage even killing someone. I have never been able to get a straight answer from Orthodox clergy about this. These conditions are much more common then we are led to believe and are the cause of so many psychological disorders especially if a parent is a narcissist or a psychopath
