Instead of throwing the rubber pad away, just glue a small piece of aluminium foil (maybe made with a hole punch or cut to size) to the underside of the button that doesn't work. A bit fiddly but a great and cheap alternative to ordering a new one. Also, doing more damage to case than necessary is a bit off-putting.
You would be better off scraping the contact with a graphite pencil. I used an old flat kitchen knife to open the plastic without any damage. My older Humax remote was very hard to open. Your video was very helpful. Also you should not clean with WD40 as you want to get rid of the silicone not add more. Though I use soapy water as it works adequately well. Thanks.
WD40? Should be using contact cleaner or IPA. Also dismantling the case was a bit brutal - I thought he was going to stab himself with the screw driver at one point!
How not to do a repair, this was like watching a drunk cowboy.. throwing things around, breaking the remote, using two different batteries!.. It says in your description.. "This video shows how to open, clean and repair a Humax remote control which has faulty buttons." You mean how not to open a remote control!... May I suggest a job on fawlty towers!.. How do you get to work?.. On horseback?..

Where did you get the ir tester? Can't find it anywhere!
I washed my rubber mat in soapy water, it worked fine.

Mr. Blobby repairs a TV remote😄😄😄
By the way, you can test if an IR is working by pointing it at your camera phone lens and pressing the buttons, the camera with show the IR flashing.
