- It's a Sunday in November 1992 and i'm at Clapham Junction. There is a DC Tours running from London Waterloo, with class 33 114 & Mirlees & Ruston engined class 37 901 & 906, and here at Clapham we see the locomotives and stock shunted before departing to Waterloo. A loco hauled West of England class 47 train passing by as does a class 442 Wessex Electric EMU. Great video. 47708 appears on my layout, but in her Scotrail guise, as "Waverley". Also, the gap where the old Clapham Junction signalbox was, over the tracks, can be clearly seen!
2:00 Backing up that rolling stock like that brings to mind many poorly executed manoeuvres like that on my oo layout that ended in disaster and derailment. 😂
excellent video!
Very rare? footage of a Networker at Clapham Junction!
Great footage of British Diesel power at work ,Better then the plastic stuff from abroad
