I love this. I am aiming for the sound of the 1st trombone soloist. I prefer pretty tone over angry tone. Does anybody have any tips? I am almost there, I just can't figure out how to get that sound completely.
Doubtful, but they probably dealt with time constraints. Some minor issues with intonation and timing are evident here and there. But, not taking anything away from a fine performance from four very fine players, indeed 👏🏻

Joe Alessi's sound is so pure that the first harmonic of the A he's playing at the beginning is almost more present than the fundamental pitch.

Bass trombone has an internal microphone. He has a couple pedal switches he continually presses. Gives a big fat sound.
I believe that pedal is for his iPad.
Yeah, you can see his mic a bunch. That's just how big his sound is.
