Hahaha what a great vid! Good takes, i'm glad you're not also riding the doom train that seems to thunder out of the community from nearly every update. I agree that there is still SO much fun to be had in this game, despite the gear squishing. Are barbs and rangers probably too strong rn? yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that the rest of the game is still pretty amazing and fun to play. I, along with many others, just wish IM would focus more on things like actual content, fleshing out the combat system, and focusing on making their game feel like an adventure, rather than flip flopping numbers for "balance" despite the fact their are so many more yet-to-be-implemented things that would throw balance out of wack, like talent trees/subclassing, new classes, new weapons, new perks and abilities, etc. Also love the song at the end :) I'd listen to a Lyrebird Christmas Cover Album, such a deep soothing voice Also also you're making me want to try the lantern shield with the background clips. Looks so fun!
Nope, we can't. Your voice is too soothing and I'm upset by how comforting it is. I'm also upset that your points are 100% dope and I'm happy with them. Maybe once you start stopping upsetting people, we can stop starting to not get along... ever think about that mister smarty pants?
Im glad i found your channel and this video, i agree with all you said. Also i see a lot of more people in my lobbies than before (probably because now the gear score dont matter that much), and i strongly agree with that even if i die, i understand why i died and what i could do better. I get that doing this mid season is going to make angry those persons that farmed gear, but honestly, farming gear is boring. Bringing high quality gear even if you get it feels stressfull because if i die i lost something TOO important, it was not funny at all. Now isnt that important. I get that the equipment should be an important part of the game, but i think that should be done in other ways, like creating more items like the oil lantern, molotovs and items in general that allows you to play your class with the benefits of certain items that has they certain uses. Maybe even magic scrolls that other class could use if they have a build in knowledge or something like that. Maybe even traps of some kind that need resourcefullnes but with less impact that the ones that the ranger has now. That way the gold can be used in personalizing the playstyle selecting your gear and your equipment, but you dont need to have super rare legendary items to be able to win a PVP, but how you use your equipment matters. The people are mad because they think that a Dungeon Crawler should be just about looting high gear to be OP, but i think the game must reward the way how each of us decide to fight in the dungeons. And maybe i think that they should put maybe a skin or some kind of reward each season that require gold to purchase? I dont know if it is a good idea, but i get that the gold that we earn should have a goal, i just dont think that goal has to be OP gear because that makes the game certainly unfair, boring and stressfull
The folks around me in IRL keep urging me to put my whistling / singing skills into the videos. Glad you liked it, hopefully my audio editing skills will get better over time. lol
Grinding gear to finally be able to play the game in an enjoyable state is EXACTLY what is wrong with most games. Game devs be cashing in on adding RNG grinds to games to play on peoples addictions to gambling. You should be able to just log in and play a game as intended. People desperately adding loot and RPG mechanics to every game they can is why every game is boring bland and repetitive. Just have good gameplay, the point of the game is going into a dungeon and surviving monsters and other players, the fun doesn't come from browsing loot and tetris invent for 90% of the game, it comes from the intense fights and situations you get yourself in. If the RNG of item drops is what gets you going, you just might be a gambling addict who gets dopamine hits from the bright colours they put on item tiers, you dont actually enjoy the game for the game.
Hopefully the multi-level nature of the dungeon gives space for more casual players up top, and more sweaty players down below - currently a little hard, given that the lower lobbies aren't re-populated by other hell-goers, but they've said many times that they intend to eventually change that. High hopes for the future!
totally agreed. Tbh, i've never seen a more whiney entitled complain heavy community than DaD. I thought Tarkov and League communtieis were bad but I had no idea what to expect. one reason i like blinn stream (and found your channel :)) is because he doesn't COMPLAIN all the time! he tries to get better, learn from his mistakes, do better next time. so many people in this game die, lose and immediately complain about balance insetad of looking at what they did wrong or right.
I dont care about that buff to be honest just that gear is worthless now.. but this new patch fix that right ? Dudes just need to learn the game and i play main rogue … that 15 hp tho im not huge fan of that too but the loot is whole point basicly we have arenas for that extra more pvp
The manner in which they changed rogues means that using poison in a support role should be pretty effective, since lots of folks will be relying on plate to avoid dying instantly - and anyone wearing plate, basically experiences twice the heal value of most folks. Using the new heal negation value of poison, in trios, is likely going to be your highest utility now. You could still probably ambush people, but it's gonna feel bad when you get bonked during the trade. Pickpocket might still be fun. :)
@@Lyrebird-lp2vt The biggest problem with rogue is getting one-tapped by barbs. There's no chance for counterplay. and it's terribly unsatisfying to just poke down the class that has roughly double/triple your HP instead of trying to weave in and out of combat with the possibility of being able to scrape yourself out of a single hit.
@@yeayea115 Rogues that have had their position identified *should* be weak in a straight up fight. They're meant as a utility oriented addition to a trio, and certainly they do feel awkward in solos.
@@Lyrebird-lp2vt I'm fine with them feeling akward in solos. but. just even trying to fight a Barb in melee is suicide. Wizards and Rogues both are suffering from the -15 HP change as classes with low starting HP BEFORE this change.

Well said, thank you for having brain cells!
The overwhelmingly negative response sure had me upset. One more beer before editing, and the video may have had a... more judgemental tone. xD
President Burger has turned this video into a MUSICAL?? 10:58 ...oh love it

On Spotify when? That's right up there with Smithers "See my Vest"

Oh. even the Stilleto dagger can attack past shields.
Yeah, all the daggers are pretty bad about it. Really bothers me how hard it is to block caster weapons like crystal sword and magic staff, too.

I find myself nodding in agreement through the entire video. Also, you should change your name to Lyrebard permanently after that awesome singing.
