First time seeing this… 13 November 2023…. I seen a few kits that I have in the stash…. CLASSIC ROCK, why does that go Soooo WELL with building models… I have my favorites I listen to while I build my models… Not a car guy, BUT I appreciate all models and model building… Love the old Trucks ( kits ) 30s 40s 50s…. Nice to see all the VENDORS And the aftermarket products Thanks for putting this together… You know the places to go It what’s makes your channel so worth watching…. ROCK ON……. and on, and on……. Nice selection of new and vintage kits. Much better selection than I saw in Atlanta last month. This is a show I will really consider attending. Thanks for sharing.

It was my first time at a model show / swap meet and I definitely was pleasantly surprised by the shear size of it. Spent too much. :) Can't wait to see what Motor City Madness has in store.

Tim, I was at that show with one of my sons and did not see you!🙁 It was crowded and so much to see. But I did get some great stuff and met many nice people. We had a great time. My son got some great bargains too. 😎

Great clear footage as usual Tim. Didn't even know Ertl Released a 1/25 scale of Smokey and the Bandit's trailer. Saw some nice kits I would have picked up. They had everything from Hot Wheels die cast to Glen Watkins AFX slot car set.😊
It was my first show / swap meet and I was amazed by the size of the swap meet. I left a moment too soon (and spent too quickly). As I was leaving, I heard one vendor with 6 tables was selling everything 1/2 off. I'm definitely heading back to the Motor City Maddness this spring.
At 13:00 mark of your video, on the midle shelf, there is a AMT 1971 FORD PINTO GASSER WITH A BLOWN BOSS 429 ENGINE !!! I wish RLOUND 2 WOULD REISSUE THIS KIT !! THANX FOR THE TRIP BACK TO THE PAST.
I'm fortunate enough to have some of these kits....especially those Hot Rod branded 1/16th funnycar kits...the Grand Am one and the Duster..got em fairly cheap back in 2011 along with and original from 1969 jo han Road Runner and the 1965 Color Me Gone 65 charger funnycar, most awesomely like 90 percent mint in box and unbuilt
I wish we had a show like this here, lots of cool vintage kits as well as dealer promos. I am a dealer promo collector, and they had some nice ones there. I also need the 71 Demon kit. A buddy of mine had the real thing.
There are a few companies that made that car Tony...... Pyro, Scale Models, Hubley, Lindberg (as a pick up) and R & R Resin as a chopped top. And there may be a few more that I've forgotten about.
@@THROTTLEPOWER Thanks for your response bud! I have looked around for a long time, 1/25, but had to settle on a Ford to build a 60s Modified a relative had. The race car was very similar to the 32 Chrysler Doug Whyte built on his Muse channel. (Which is a must see) Of course, as a novice builder, my car was not nearly as bomb as Doug's, with a working steering mechanism, printed heads, etc, etc.
Man, the Sox and Martin and California Flash pro stock Dusters would have been worth the trip alone, not to mention the Color Me Gone Challenger funny car. Would almost trade an original sealed clear bodied Petty Charger for both of them 😁

I had SO many of these kits!!! It’s a shame they were either sold at an auction (for next to nothing) or broken and thrown away. 😢 I still have a lot of unopened nascar kits. I have 5, 6 of those that came with the driver, toolbox, and accessories. I’d love to find the Blazing Bison pulling tractor, along with the Orange Blossom Special 2wd wheel standing pulling truck. I’m not sure if there was any other pulling vehicles made in stock kit form. It would cool to make a 1/24 scale unlimited modified tractor. The only thing that would be difficult to get would be the rear tires. I can always buy blown engines, and making a frame wouldn’t be that hard either. I’ll have to look into it. I’m only 20 minutes in, and I could spend THOUSANDS there without blinking an eye!!! 😂😂
I got a suitcase of old model cars and parts I don't know what to do with it I think the best thing to do is to make a junkyard diorama with a bunch of minions taking the stuff apart😂 have you ever seen any miniature minions??

Also, a suggestion to help those of us with problematic vision in one form or another: rather than panning your camera (smart-phone?) in slow, wide circles, causing motion blur that eviscerates clear imagery, could you please hold in place every three metres to either side or so (round 10 feet)? Or whatever your breadth of field can encompass clearly. Then give us perhaps 20-30 seconds (or longer) of a stationary shot? This way, we viewers may peruse the kits without the motion haze obscuring the names, the kit makers, the stock numbers, etc. I personally would give each pause a full minute; the video would be quite a bit longer (perhaps you might edit it into three or four 30-minute segments, with cyber-links to the others), though your viewers would be grateful for your clearer videography. Please and thank you.
Not sure about the Miami area but there is a 3 day show in Kissimmee, FL. October 11-13, 2024 and I'm sure there are others in Florida that I'm not aware of.

There are some model contests there Charles that will have kits for sale. Also, I'm sure there are a few hobby shops and Hobby Lobbys that will sell kits. All depends where in California you are.

Good selections of models, but from some of the prices on these things, I couldn't even afford to just look. Come on. How can a finished model be worth $50? No thanks. I like models too, but not that much for these prices.

The show was this past weekend. Not sure about the dates for next year. They always put on 2 shows a year.

Often thought of that myself.
@@THROTTLEPOWER each build has its own story…once the builder is gone that story is gone and the model ends up in the box of the forgotten.

Good selections of models, but from some of the prices on these things, I couldn't even afford to just look. Come on. How can a finished model be worth $50? No thanks. I like models too, but not that much for these prices.
