Great to see such a current interview. Saw her perform just last night (9/17/19) in NYC. She let us know she was a little sick, but still performed the show. Super amount of energy in all the songs. Really belted out the strong parts. Just dropped out for a line here and there, but not the big ones. What a trooper. And of course invited the audience to jump in by holding out the mic as usual. Grace, you do still look at the audience - perhaps not as much as before, I can't really compare. But tons of audience interaction, with her usual spontaneity. Loved to learn a little bit more about her in the interview - thanks! She's in online school - but will she be back in regular school for the spring semester? I know she's talked about how she *really* like getting back to a normal school teen life. Can't wait for that movie to finally come out.
Well this interview is one of the top Grace interviews I have seen , really well thought out questions , not many have bothered to ask her about her current feeling to the ukulele , good one
Really good interview and Grace is her usual lovable, amazing self. But there are questions I don't think she's ever been asked so here's some suggestions for her next interviewer. Given her numerous phobias, how did she react to having to act with a pet rat in Stargirl? Has she read the second book, Love Stargirl? And if they do the second book, will Grace take on the role again? Love, love love Grace.
If you older guys remember John Lennon interviews he trivialized a lot of the Beatles greatest songs, kinda use to by now Grace favouring her latest work over our favorite older songs. 12 and 13 is that weird age where you still desire childish things like tree houses but then pa-bang now your 14 and suddenly everything you have feels childish. The good thing is the tree house is a good place to go to for isolation when ever she wants to be alone for a breather, and could satisfy her alone time needs so she doesn't leave home too early for an apartment. Something tells me she's going to do college in California, that would be a good time to take a spin by her house to pick up a cheap tree house from their garage sale.
If I remember right in her interview with zach sang she said she had no college plans and she wanted to live in NYC but who knows she is known to change her mind lol
@@JamesThomas-dn6ee I think all her recording projects seem to be in LA but her little singing career centers around New York. She talked about a career in sociology so that's college
@@Cal99ers She records in LA? Thought it would be natural to record in NYC. No shortage of studios. She recorded Just the Beginning there. Can commute with her mom. Curious where Blythe is based, but would guess NYC, since she fell into working with Grace so early with the NYC filmed vids.
She certainly gives different views in different interviews - and ones that are not that far apart. And of course a 15 yr old will look at her products when 13 as cringe-worthy. Almost inevitable. And the next day will talk about what she liked about this or that one. Some questions she's answered so many times, like the treehouse. Told how she was a fan of Treehouse Masters show. Here got tired of repeating it, apparently, just gave a different angle. College - what 15 yr-old has solid plans for what they'll do in college? They may think they do, but... And for one who's "strategizing" a career, everything about college depends on so many unknowns. Plenty of teen entertainers have to consider if their career will fade if they "disappear" into college, get considered as "only a teen star."
Don Jones I don't think Grace will ever be just another teen star. I believe she will last at least as long as Cher or Streisand, possibly even longer.
I was struck by Maddie’s authentic interest in Grace here. It really came through and it helped Grace relax and open up. Nicely done!

Jennifer Desbit great quote.
Classic smart comment by Grace!
Better than most of the "professional" interviews by far!
Oh my god thank you!!!! Made my day.
Great interview. Good questions and good answers!
David Briggins Thank you!
She’s one of the new natural stars. No thumbs down, a miracle.

Saw her in Toronto(and I live in Vancouver but it was worth the trip) and it was amazing. Watching Grace live with a great audience is pure happiness.
@jamessmithe5490 saw her in Utah and her first show In Vegas, every one is always in awe at her talent, live is definately the best
"All things you want come when you forget about them" - absurdly accurate, LOVE her

That interview was so so great. I really enjoyed the questions and Maddie's reactions to Grace's answers as much as I enjoyed Grace's answers.

"Sounds like my label." HA! New EP out this fall with her new songs, should make for a nice spike.
Ha ha. Yeah. I think that's the first slightly snarky thing Grace has ever said. I'll definitely be buying the EP. Hope it has You'll Get Bored on it.
