As a grown-up homeschooler, I suspected as much. There is something wonderful about parents creating an environment that nurtures the growth of their children in the direction of their interests. Its not impossible with traditional schooling situations, but most people don't have the time to do it to the level a home schooling family can. I think that is the appeal. I think it also makes more opportunities for developing inter-generational relationships instead of only interacting with peers...in that regard, a lot of home schoolers end up very well rounded and well socialized in a way their peers do not. Blessings on you and your family! Love all the DIY and house renovation! It's a real joy to watch you transform this neglected property onto something useful and beautiful!

I think there are so many people like you, like me, that are creative in so many ways. Some people will find a singular niche and stick with it, but there are those of us who enjoy dabbling in any and everything creative. I often wish I was home schooled when I was younger so I could focus more on school and less on the distractions of fitting in socially in public schooling. Alas, we all have different roads to take. I wish my family , grown kids and their families, would do a big family move to somewhere else in canada. The east coast would be best for all. Prices here in ontario have gotten ridiculously expensive. Worse then England with the rise in the last 15 years. Glad your parents had the option to move back. Keep up your delightful channel. As a grown-up homeschooler, I suspected as much. There is something wonderful about parents creating an environment that nurtures the growth of their children in the direction of their interests. Its not impossible with traditional schooling situations, but most people don't have the time to do it to the level a home schooling family can. I think that is the appeal. I think it also makes more opportunities for developing inter-generational relationships instead of only interacting with peers...in that regard, a lot of home schoolers end up very well rounded and well socialized in a way their peers do not. Blessings on you and your family! Love all the DIY and house renovation! It's a real joy to watch you transform this neglected property onto something useful and beautiful!

I think there are so many people like you, like me, that are creative in so many ways. Some people will find a singular niche and stick with it, but there are those of us who enjoy dabbling in any and everything creative. I often wish I was home schooled when I was younger so I could focus more on school and less on the distractions of fitting in socially in public schooling. Alas, we all have different roads to take. I thought you were in the U.K. but knew your folks were Czech....glad they found land, home and acreage to help support your own food garden and food. I grew up on a non working dairy farm. We raised our own vegetables and I miss it. Have a garden of earthboxes on my deck for tomatoes, peppers and herbs..
