Here in Texas we would make a mean gravy with the bits and pieces left in the oil by draining off the oil and adding flour and milk . Looks delicious .

what's the difference between eating dogs and eating rabbits, IMO rabbits are cuter than dogs, I don't eat neither but I feel really bad that you ate this beautiful creature.

Dog meat has very little nutritional value. Dogs are nearly 99.9% domesticated pets, they consume a lot of food for how much meat they would produce.Dog meat has very little flavor. Rabbits on the other hand- are the leanest meat know to man, they have very little cholesterol very high in protein and produce 3x the amount of meat for the same amount of feed as a chicken, they are extremely flavorful and plentiful also their fur can be used for various items. We have to eat something to live, you should be happy he ate that bunny. It was killed humanly, and was consumed fully and not wasted. To ensure a long healthy live we have to eat a well balanced healthy diet and a rabbit fits right into that. As the worlds population increases rabbit consupmtion with increase for their low cost to grow and high nutritional value.

Rabbits are herbivores. Where I live (NZ) wild rabbits are an invasive species that need to be controlled therefore it is a sustainable source of meat. They are wild, so live free natural lives. Dogs are not ideal candidates for farming because they are highly intelligent with strong social bonds, unlike rabbits it would be difficult to farm and slaughter them humanely. Dogs have been domesticated over tens of thousands of years to be our hunting partners, protectors and companions. Dogs are useful animals with a myriad of benefits to mankind e.g. search and rescue, help for visually impaired, bomb detection and much more.
