Thanks for the tip on Corvette Rubber co, I replaced mine using Corvette Central and right after warranty ran out the corner split.

Nice job . We are in the same boat as far as having to work without the benefit of a helper . That makes it a bit more difficult but very gratifying when completed .

Hi Gene, Thanks for another great video! Weather stripping is something all c4 corvette owners will have to do at some point. I'm heading over to corvette rubber to get every single piece - lol - thanks again!

I removed the wind laces (as you called them) and they had a steel insert that was rotten completely. I took the rust out and filled it with black polyurethane (seam sealer) and a aluminum insert also had to repair the rubber, now it looks ok hopefully it will fit :) otherwise they are pretty expensive probably because they are made in low numbers. considering they would last for 30y it’s acceptable to buy them new

I put off buying the wind laces because of the price but I am glad I spent the money for new ones.

Hi, thanks for the video. Is the lithium grease an adhesive to keep the weatherstripping on?

I believe it is there to allow the weather stripping some flexibility as the hatch is opening and closing it may also act as an adhesive.
