- This is my first reaction to Dimash singing Mademoiselle Hyde. First I watch DImash sing it and then Lara Fabian.
It’s my first time hearing the song and also to hear Lara sing by herself.
Before this, I have seen Lara on Ti Amo Cosi with Dimash.
Two beautiful versions of this very seductive song!!

Both had Igor Krutoy joined by excellent musians and choristers. Each of the soloists, Dimash and Lara gave a stunning delivery of the song within their respective vocal abilities and range. However on a performance level, experience comes through powerfully so in Lara's case and unmistakable.

When I heard this song for the first time it was performed by Dimash. Wonderful performance. But when I heard this song performed by Lara, it was something else. Lara in this song was a personification of femme fatale. When I saw her music video to this song - she also personified addiction, death and temptress. For me her performance has an additional layer.

Lara Fabian is a great singer & very sweet & caring person. She recognized Dimash’s greatness & wrote the lyrics of Dimash’s song Your Love. Thank you Sabina. Lara is the author of lyrics for this song and for Your Love, for and many others written by Igor Krutoy. Lara and Igor have the wonderful album together called M-lle Zhivago and the film based on that by a famous director Alan Badoev. M-lle Hyde is one of the songs from that album.

Lara is a phenomenal singer. I love her tone and her passion. On your free time check this song by Lara: "Je t'aime". It is a fantastic song. Both the studio version and one of the live version where the audience sings for her!

@@JuanRodriguez-ys8vh For some reason I did not enjoy that version as much. I think because for the most psrt she sang with a brazilian kind of scent to at times nail the actual portuguese but I caught some hints of spanish, as well. He tonality is anazing as always, nonetheless.

People's said that Dimash is a genius, and they are right. Because I think don't exist other singer like him, with a vocal range of 6 octaves. But Lara is incomparable... her face, her movements, the way she seduces the public and tells a story, it's really amazing for me. Her voice rich, powerful, and at the same time so sweet. No, we can't compare this two extraordinary singers. Are totally differents, even when Dimash adores Lara and grew up studying her, cause he is very influenced by her, but nothing more. Indeed that song is delicious. Lara had the edge because every word was clear. In this case that is very important, I think. I was surprised and delighted at her performance. However to me Dimash owns it. I would have to touch his skin even if it burned me alive I do believe. LOL. This was wonderful. You are my favorite reactor. One thing, I heard a very knowledgeable vocal coach say that Dimash does not sing falsetto so to speak. I forget the technical reason but it made sense. I love you Miss.
Lara remains a master story teller. Every part of her tells stories better than anyone I know in contemporary music. And the simplicity of her is just breathtaking.

I have to share something rather humorous about this reaction. Just before I saw this another fan and I were talking about this performance. I mentioned to her that I found it strange that no one had reacted to it in a while, especially any of the newer ones. I am impressed by both and I am impressed by Dimash's progress since the first performances I have seen on videos.
There is no denial that he puts a lot of soul and energy in his performances. He nevertheless still has to work his voice control, his head and mixt voice and the harmony of these last high pitched notes.
Well... I mean, I say that but he is still absolutely astonishing, and very few people would be able to sing this song as well as he did !!! :-)
I am just saying that as if you compare him to Lara Fabian, who has just incredible voice control, incredible belting, chest, mixt and head voice.
Both are incredible, but I still like Lara Fabian's control, sweetness and resonance in the sounds and her emotion delivery a little better.
Dimash has one thing that Lara Fabian can't achieve though, it is his low very sustained deep notes.
So thank you for this moment. Hearing them both one after the other is very interesting.

I love the way he stands on stage to accentuate his stable positioning and his dominance.
As for Lara, she is, in my opinion, the best female vocal artist in the world for her acting (remember Je suis malade?), her impeccable voice and her emotional connection with the listener.
Her résumé, so to speak, is incredible, and her vocal abilities are endless.
I understand why Dimash considers her an idol, a teacher and a kindred spririt.

With Lara... your mind is locked in at the image of the story while listening to her impeccable singing.
But with Dimash... everything about you is locked in on the story of his singing as if you are part of the scene he is portraying.Such a power that can never be ignored.

Hi Sabina - you got there 🎉🎉. Interesting how both performances are so different - I love them both. I’m going to make a suggestion for your Dimash journey as you are now aware of how important Kazakhstan and it’s music is to him. No other reactor has done this so it would be a first but the other thing that you need to recognise is how important Dimash’s family is to him so I am suggesting 4 songs (maybe do them together). The first is to introduce you to the most important & closest to Dimash’s heart is ‘Mama & Papa’ - a song called ‘Papa - Mama’ (Grumpy Baby Dear version on TH-cam); next song is ‘Dearest Mother’ singing with his parents [Dimash InfoStation version); next is ‘All by Myself’ with his sister Raushan (Gloria Wu channel’s version) and finally ‘Dimash & brother Mansur play dombra’ (Rita Sun Thunder LV version). I love this song, but this is not my favorite performance by Dimash. There are more seductive performances like Moscow, New York, Ekaterinburg, St Petersburg, Kiev... Hell I want to touch his skin and I don’t care if i‘m cursed or be burned alive, he does it anyway. Sorry I forgot myself. Back to topic. Both performances were excellent....I found Lara after Dimash performed Adagio on Singer 2017....I loved the lyrics of Adagio and had to find out who wrote them...two very talented artists...

Thank you for your reactions to Dimash, this song, I like to listen to it by the voice of Dimash, yes lara fabien is a great singer, but the voice of Dimash is something else a voice that makes you dream even sometimes I understand not the lyrics (Russian, Chinese kakhazatan ....) Lara Fabian has been a world class singer for many years and one of my most favorite female singers. She is a great story teller and sings every song with emotion not just with her voice but also with her body. I believe that her leaning over it to embody the apparent deformity of Mademoiselle/Mr. Hyde. When I saw the play on Broadway many years ago, the actor played both Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide simultaneously in the same song; Dr. Jekyll stood straight and sang in a normal voice, but when he changed to the character of Mr Hyde, he sung in harsh voice, bent over, appeared disheveled and evil. "Je Suis Malade" is one of her best and signatrue performances.
